    I've been following your recipes for a few years now and i have your book. i use to reference your old videos but these newer ones are much more clear and helpful for a novice baker like me - who needs inspiration and all the help they can get! Thanks for sharing.

    Absolutely love this cake, its a go to whenever there is a gathering. Can concur it's easier to mix by hand (had a few overzealous moments while making the batter with the stand mixer but it was worth it.)

    I love this cake, I usually make it with ganache to frost cause i dont like ABC. But maybe its better with evaporated milk in 🤔 I'll have to try it 😊

    I love following your lovely cake recipes , I have made some, with coffee I tend not to add much, because my family is not keen on it, some I put in very little coffee.

    Oh i will be sure to try this one , have tried many of your cheesecakes, what brand of butter would you normally use for your sponges also would love too see a coffee and walnut recipe if you have one xx

    • @JanesPatisserie
      @JanesPatisserie  8 месяцев назад

      For sponges I switch between supermarket own baking butter, or block butter depending on what I have - generally never a specific brand. And I have one on my blog so I'll add it to my filming list! x

    Hi could I cut out the coffee and use full fat milk instead of butter milk thanks x

    • @JanesPatisserie
      @JanesPatisserie  Месяц назад

      It's best to follow the recipe as written, for best results. The coffee is to enhance the flavour, and the buttermilk creates the rise of the cake x

    If using double cream instead of evaporated milk do you use the same amount ,please.
    I've made your fudge buutercream before but end up wasting the rest of the can so an alternative would be good

      Use the leftover evaporated milk to make some mash potatoes or Mac and cheese. Or boil it with some sugar until thick to create a sauce for the cake.

    • @JanesPatisserie
      @JanesPatisserie  8 месяцев назад +1

      The evaporated milk I better, and I often buy the mini cans as then there is less leftover. Using double cream, add slower as you may need less (And also the cake will then need storing in the fridge) x

    Can we use oil instead of butter

    • @JanesPatisserie
      @JanesPatisserie  8 месяцев назад +1

      Butter is best for the stability of the sponge, as it's already quite delicate so this may make it fall apart x
