I've been following your recipes for a few years now and i have your book. i use to reference your old videos but these newer ones are much more clear and helpful for a novice baker like me - who needs inspiration and all the help they can get! Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely love this cake, its a go to whenever there is a gathering. Can concur it's easier to mix by hand (had a few overzealous moments while making the batter with the stand mixer but it was worth it.)
I love following your lovely cake recipes , I have made some, with coffee I tend not to add much, because my family is not keen on it, some I put in very little coffee.
Oh i will be sure to try this one , have tried many of your cheesecakes, what brand of butter would you normally use for your sponges also would love too see a coffee and walnut recipe if you have one xx
For sponges I switch between supermarket own baking butter, or block butter depending on what I have - generally never a specific brand. And I have one on my blog so I'll add it to my filming list! x
If using double cream instead of evaporated milk do you use the same amount ,please. I've made your fudge buutercream before but end up wasting the rest of the can so an alternative would be good
The evaporated milk I better, and I often buy the mini cans as then there is less leftover. Using double cream, add slower as you may need less (And also the cake will then need storing in the fridge) x
Hi Jane thank you for your message. Unfortunately I'm not on Instagram. I would be very grateful If you could put It on your RUclips channel. I want to learn how to make fudge for my Son for Christmas, as a surprise. Valerie 😊

@JanesPatisserie Thank you , and that would be fantastic its one of my sister's favourite cakes x
Where has your recipes for your drip cakes gone ? I can’t seem to find them ❤
The only videos I have are on my channel at the moment 🙂
Hi could I cut out the coffee and use full fat milk instead of butter milk thanks x
It's best to follow the recipe as written, for best results. The coffee is to enhance the flavour, and the buttermilk creates the rise of the cake x

Use the leftover evaporated milk to make some mash potatoes or Mac and cheese. Or boil it with some sugar until thick to create a sauce for the cake.

Jane I love chocolate fudge cake heated and then add Icecream. Can I heat this cake if I don't add sprinkles? Thank you.
I don't see why not!
Hi Jane, which baking spread do you use? X
Any supermarket own one, I don't use branded x
You do LOTS and LOTS of chocolate cakes could you come up with a coffee cake please
@@ruthwashbrook4759 I do love chocolate cakes… there’s coffee based bakes on my blog already 👍
No salt in your dry ingredients?
Could this recipe be baked asc cupcakes?
Yes, there is a cupcake version with the correct measurements on my blog already! x

How long to bake??
I love all of Jane’s recipes ❤ But is there anyway of me cancelling out the annoying repetitive clicky music 😞
Can we use oil instead of butter
Butter is best for the stability of the sponge, as it's already quite delicate so this may make it fall apart x
How much of each of the ingrediants? This will be the flop of the century if I have to guess how much flouer, cocoa etc I have to use.
The recipe is in the description box.
I had to rewind the beginning as I heard something different to fudgy 🙈
