- I completed the upgrades to my new Fender Road Worn Precision Bass by installing a Babicz Full Contact Bridge. In this video I cover the install and some of the basics of setup with this bridge. For me, these are a must have upgrade over the original Fender bridges.

I've been watching this video mainly to have a better look at the fiesta red road worn bass, but I've found the bridge to be interesting and correctly informative, too. The lighting, camera angles and editing are excellent, and everyone should be grateful for the talent and generosity to produce the video for the heck of it. Thanks Steve.
Great video, beautiful bass and the bridge is a winner. Thanks!
cool video, great bridge, but I prefer my old school fender bridges. To each his own. I did have my luthier cut a truss rod access channel into my 50's classic precision , and my 08 RW jazz.
I just got one of those new squire paranormal jazz bass’. It’s a $400 bass that’s honestly not too bad except for that crappy fender bridge. The first thing I’m gonna do is put this Babicz bridge on it and a new seat of rotosound swingbass 66 on it. This is a good vid. Easy to follow and straightforward with none of that stupid bs I see on so many vids.
I ordered 1 of these for a fender P bass and im sure now the guy that owns the bass is going to love it ,the old bridge was terrible couldnt keep the saddles down after intonating and adjusting the string height ,thanks think I made the best choice
installed it yesterday and its amazing
I was curious about the string width adjustment to. But according to Mr. Babicz. The spacing is made the correct way. .75". SOOO!
I dont think with my short fingers it will matter. Im Buying one for my New Fender American Performer Jazz.
Funny, Rickenbacker solders their ground wires.
From seeing the video from Jeff Babicz, he pronounced his name "BA-bits". Luckily enough, that's how I would have pronounced it if I had to guess.
do you use any sort of wood glue or lock tite type goop to put on the screws that go into the wood? it's seems like they would pull loose. I have a sun burst/tobacco burst or whatever version of the P bass road worn and I was looking at the Fender Custom Shop bridge, but this one looks much nicer. Any recommendation on upgrading the pickups?
I did not use any type of wood glue. The secret is to not over tighten the screws when you put them back in... thats why i do them by hand. I've removed several bridges and never had any issues with the wood stripping out or losing tension on the screws. As for pickups, I have a P-bass with Fralin pickups in it and it sounds amazing!! Nordstrands are always a good choice too.... I've tried SD "Quarter Pounders" in the past, but they sound a little harsh to my ear with the tone knob rolled up.
Wax the screws, don't glue them.
NASA grade? Gonna play it on the ISS or what?
I believe the name is pronounced BAH-bitch.
