No, you can't get a visa straight to come and play you either have at least played one first-class match from your country and then they can sponsor you.

Hello Mate, My son who is 17th years old getting into Cardiff metropolitan university for year 2023 admission. He is moving along with me on dependent resident visa. It will take around 5 years for him to get the UK permanent residency. Now, my question is that, can he play professional cricket in any county cricket club being do not have UK passport for 5 years? Or is that hard requirement to have one? I heard that county do not offer any professional contract or they will not consider you for selection if you are not UK citizen. My son who is already playing cricket at pro level and getting university admission on sport scholarship. If you can help me with this information will be great help and easy for me to take decision accordingly.
Hi mate hope you well. Yes he can I'm playing a higher level of cricket in England and don't have a passport that's not a problem unless he proves himself to them. He will start from scratch and make a name for himself and do a performance and them he is well capibale to compete with other then he can get a chance.
I think my suggestion is league cricket start from April to September get him and tell start performing then they will see his records and all if had is too young it will take time.

Yes they can pay if you are good enough player and show performance for their club which I did in the past the starting match pay roughly starts from 100£ a match.
