Has anyone done a Range test with this drone?
Great video, thanks. I have this one and I find the camera quality terrible. The results look like a 15 year old phone. The resolution is 2K but the pictures look like being massively jpg-compressed (compact green surface instead of grass, it looks almost as if some kind of weird "art" filter was applied). Is there a way to set this? I have an SD card installed, so it's not a problem of low quality picture transfer via WiFi. I can't find a setting anywhere to increase to jpg quality. I think the pictures could be quite ok but not with this overcompreession.

@@BillMRC They often go into toilet bowl. Of course it depends on the accuracy of your phone too. Pity very few controllers have GPS built-in. Those work best. Like the Fimi A3 and some Hubsan drones. And my Aosenma CG0035, if I ever get the thing to stay in position. No idea what I am doing wrong?
I did order a new phone. A €130 Xiaomi. Because GPS should be good. I will try the drones I have again.
Something else. I ordered a new camera for my JJRC X6 Aircus. Then I had regrets. Tried to cancel the order. But they already shipped it. We know the way the gimbal is attached to the drone is the problem of the shaky video. Did you ever try some rubber or other soft material o-ring? Your green stuff is kinda messy.
X6 Aircus is a disaster. It flies well. But without the camera you miss all the functions in the app like follow-me. Stupid design. Or I could fly it with my Onapaa X2000.
@@driewiel Expectations cannot be too high for these low cost drones, everything comes at a price. Mugs like me usually have to sort out a lot of the problems but most times you can do everything right and it still does not make sense.
@@BillMRC Well everybody can with a Skydio 2 if they have the money. But produce a video with a cheap drone, that for me is more fun. And that is why I bought too many. I could have gotten a Spark or Fimi A8 from what I spent on toy drones.
@@BillMRC And oh! I still need to make an intro video for my '40 Dollar Drone Challenge'. I sure hope you will give it a try soon so I can copy it to my other channel! Don't forget, it is about how fun the video is. Not about landscape scenery for National Geographic!
My JJRC X11 5G works very good until these days. Before it was able to stay stable in flight at one place. I am getting some jumpings with altitude now. I want to stay at one place and Altitude increase by own in periods of few seconds. I saw in my flight data where it it comes - Altitude 223 meters, than i hold down. Do you do gyro calibration before every flight?
