Love the new roars, but I think the millennium series will always be my favorite.
I like how everyone hates the new roar when it's closer to the original. The 2014 Godzilla sounded like a giant t-rex. lol

Shin Godzilla has the hig pitched Showa roar. No changes whatsoever. I love the design, but the roar just doesn't suit him. He should sound just as scary as he looks.

shin godzilla actually had 2 roars he had the original 1954 roar and he had the roar at 0:42
to be honest it's like Toho never try to create a newer roar for shin Godzilla, Godzilla 2014 sound like a modern roar that will creep you out.
I guess they tried more to appease our nostalgia, but it didn't work this time. References are good and all, but you need to go with time.
From 1962-2004 Godzilla had a consistent sound in his roar that could actually vocalize emotion, the 2014 one sounds like someone dicking around with an electric guitar for a couple seconds.

The 2016 roars doesn't really fit him. A cross between 1954, 1955 and 1994 would be fitting.

Or if they just slowed down the roar they used, that would've been good. Oh well, still one of the best of the entire franchise.

My opinion on the designs
1954: Not that good, but it was original for it's time and was the first Godzilla movie.
1955: Looked too human like, but was acceptable
1962: Took a different approach on his appearance, but didn't look very menacing.
1964: Look abysmal in the movie
1965: Didn't look that great other than his dance
1966: Meh, looked like the 1964 one, but slightly better
1967: What the fuck...?
1968: Not great but big improvement from Son of Godzilla
1969: Not much I could say since I could barley tell any difference from his appearance with all the stock footage.
1971: Looks like cookie monster cross eyed.
1972: Not bad other than the suit was worn out
1973: You know what, performed the best drop kick in existence.
1974: Not much, but good
1975: Same with 1974, not a great change but good,
1984: Really big turn and menacing look, great.
1989: Eh, looked like a dog.
1991: Pretty good, but still looked like a dog.
1992-1994: Good
1995: Honestly, terrifying, loved the design.
1998: Mixed reactions, was a good design...for a dinosaur. Not Godzilla.
1999-2000: Loved this look on Godzilla, and his orange atomic breath is amazing.
2001: Looks great, since it was supposed to look like the original Godzilla but remade.
2002-2003: Meh, looks like the 1999-2000 design, but I don't like the blue atomic breath that goes with it.
2004: Amazing, spot on design.
2014: Great design, it was about time someone would change his appearance a little bit.
2016: What the...? I like it except his eyes. Looks like those glue-on bobbley eyes.
Marshall-YT Gaming late comment, i know. While Shin Goji may not be appealing to look at (for me, he looks terrifying), i think the longer, stretched out roar used here is AMAZING.
i really like 1954 1 he cool! (for me) 2 *the lazy eye of death* (i call it that because in a game he just stands there lazy eye and your town just blows up XD)

1954 terrifying
1955 too human-like (but cool roar)
1962 pretty bad
1964 not that bad
Son of Godzilla OMG terrible
70s Godzilla terrible
1984 pretty freakish
1989 looks like a lion
1991-1995not that bad, not my favorite tho
1999-2000 kinda cool,
2001 scary and AWESOME! (My favorite)

SHIN GODZILLA I never said he wasn’t a part of Godzilla. And by bad, I mean the movie was bad at worst, mediocre at best. The kaiju itself is alright.
Shin Godzilla was awful in my opinion. Even Godzilla 98 did better. The 98 movie was my first Godzilla movie. I will forever honor it for that reason, and for the fact that it introduced me to the Japanese Godzilla. Final Wars was my first Japanese Godzilla movie, and I will honor it like I do 98.
