Love these Scaletrains rivet counter Dash 9s, got a pair of BNSF ones myself! But if you want the full experience, get one equipped with the ESU Loksound V5 decoder, its incredible, plus it allows the number board and walkway lights, and ground lights, if so equipped (Prototype BNSF Dash 9s don't have ground lights so neither would this particular Scaletrains model) to function as well, not to mention its probably the best recording of a GE 7FDL V16 that I've ever heard in an HO model! Also since you brought up the SD70ACE, since Scaletrains acquired MTH's HO and S scale tooling, the ACe may be coming sooner than we think. From what I've heard, the first ex MTH tooled locomotives should start coming out sometime in 2022!

N scale is my favorite scale because, *just look at all the detail packed into a model which is that small* and with N scale you can make a bigger layout on your standard 4x8 than you can with HO scale.

Also get the NCE power cab controller. That controller allows sound and light options also you can control your engines at different speeds and times.
if he does, he will have to send out both engines to scaletrains out for dcc and sound, unless he wants to add an esu lokpilot in himself

I think NS and BNSF have a leasing agreement because I see a bunch of NS on the BNSF
Depending on where you live, BNSF power is most common as run-through power on the Chicago Line on crude oil and ethanol trains

Great choice, the DCC and sound versions are outstanding.
The sounds aren’t very good though. They’re muffled and adding audio of the real thing just sounds a lot better.
@@kaleomartin9161 I’ll admit it the stock horns are weak af, but since it has optional Loksound 5 you can upload better horn sounds with the Lokprogrammer
