Brain 3 (Robot Mix) or Brain 8 (Wizzard Mix) - much preferable to introduce untrained listener into this genre, they are soft, mildly acid and contains good vibes of something secret and technological!
I imagine Michael Baur and Franz Merwald felt they took this brand of acid techno to its limit and felt it was time to move on. Michael Baur in 2024 now makes chill house music on Maretimo records. Not really my thing but good for him I guess. As for Merwald. he's far more obscure and I can't find any info on him. I've seen a few theories that Merwald doesn't exist and is another alias of Baur which honestly wouldn't surprise me since the dude loves creating dozens of aliases to keep his music more underground

It sounds close, but in a different kind, original 303 much having more resonated and squeaky\squelchy sound due to it's analog routing on a PCB, it makes some influence on a circuit itself, which makes changes realtime with improving sounds to a level - which never need to be. That is a nature of a TB-303, useful one. If you wouldn't trust to a stranger's opinion - then go for 303 vs x0x or 303 vs bassbot or TD-3 comparison. Or even rent original 303 for one hour to get a clear view on a situation. ps: 303 sounds very harsh, very raw, angry, while other copies are "softer" sound than 303
