    I've been watching your videos, learning many new insights about Unifi devices. Thanks for sharing

    Thank you! You helped me understand HoneyPot more. If i have (for example) 10 VLANs in UniFi, should i create 10 HoneyPot IPs? Thank you!

      If the bad guys scan VLAN B from VLAN A, you do not need a Honeypot in VLAN A for VLAN B. Otherwise, you do.

      @@hz777 so in my environment, I block (for example) Access to VLAN B, from VLAN A, and reverse. I believe this is where “otherwise” comes in, lol. There’s no inter-vlaning in the network, so that’s why I asked if all VLANs should have HoneyPot, but Insee your point and I thank you for your response.

      @@buenologysorry it seems my original reply is not clear. if no inter-vlan, each VLAN may need its Honeypot if you have concerns there.

    Is Honeypot available via the CloudKey Gen2+?

    • @hz777
      @hz777  Месяц назад +1

      It runs in the gateway, not cloud key.

      @@hz777 Ok, so I will consider the Gateway (either Lite or Max). I wonder, if I get the Lite or Max, does that render the CloudKey Gen2+ redundant and thus I should/can remove it from the network without losing any performance or utility?

      @@gregorystevens5173you have to remove the cloud key if your gateway runs network controller as well.
      One of the benefits of running cloud key is to manage multiple sites.

    Very clear explanation! Wish you could try to make it less monotonous. And also make it more alive with examples from real world to make it more usuable. Also try to convince your audience they have a problem and this is the solution. Also try to include logging into grafana and notification

      Thanks for the advices. There is one thing I want to comment: whether to recommend or convince the audience to implement something.
      I am only interested in explaining how things work, and I don't want to do the free marketing for any vendors, so I normally leave the decisions to the audience
      Another thing about the color of the audio or presentation, sorry I am not a native speaker so this is the best I can do.

      There are enough YT channels that do that. I like that this channel keeps it simple and informative. No need to change...
