I’m over 60 and based on this video alone, I immediately bought tickets to their show in Amsterdam in November. We’re in Florida and we’re going to Europe specifically to see Nightwish.

Like I said, it didn't matter if you liked it or not, and to be clear, I'm only speaking of this specific performance at Wacken 2013 (so if it was another show performance you watched the first time we can stop the conversation right now and I'll withdraw my skeptical comments immediately!). Not all performances of the same song are created equal. (I saw two concerts each of Jimi Hendrix and Frank Zappa where the difference between the first (each in my top six concerts ever) and second concerts (my bottom five experiences) base that opinion.) Let me also say, I'm not a Nightwish fan except for two performances from that 2013 show and GLS is the best live videotaped performance I've ever seen (even if the editing was a wee bit preoccupied with crowd surfing). Ever Dream is the other one. The only reason I even knew about NW is because of Floor and her solo projects. This is not meant to be a knock on the band, but rather personal taste in genres being key. Tomas is brilliantly talented as were the musicians that were in the lineup from that period.
