When I saw this advertised I wondered why on earth would I want this and what would I use it for. You addressed my feelings on this. Possibly, If I was a teacher I can see some uses for it…but not for my craft room. Thank you!
I love the printer. I use to address envelopes. 3 lines fit for return address and I run each line separately to the sender. It really makes the envelopes pop with all the time I spend making cards. I also use it in my weekly planner. I created headers that I use weekly in my planner. It is limited on height but works great for cards, scrapbooking and journaling when you really dislike you own handwriting.
I wanted it to use for envelopes too, I held off on it because of price, but got it for $129 so I couldn't pass it up, I love it, I can't stop using it haha
I just found this video and I purchased this printmaker on clearance at hobby lobby for $43 bucks. A steal for that price and it is really cute. Thank you for your honest review.
Tissue paper has been so much fun! I mostly use it for that! I know it's expensive for just that but I customize alot of gifts and tissue paper is the one thing I can't really print and cut with my cricut.
Thanks for your videos, you’re absolutely my favourite RUclipsr for the craft reviews and tutorials. I’ve purchased this little machine about a week ago and love it! I don’t see much use for making products to sell because it’s limitations, but I absolutely love using it to print different “stickers” everyday. I like to take notes in a old fashioned way, using my notebook, so having the versatility to print a “sticker” is really fun. It is expensive, I highly recommend all the accessories you’ve tested, specially the ruler/guid. But, if you love taking notes and make it cute, it’s worth it. Cheers!
@@jessicahansen8282 hey, short notes would work. You can control the size of the words, not sure what you have in mind, but yes, I would be able to make notes in a book page :)
Thanks Angie for this unbiased review - printer is way too expensive and I don't like the idea of purchasing cartridges. I bought a Phomemo this past year for my planner, etc., and absolutely love it!! I color the stickers to make them my own :-)
Thanks for your review! I actually LOVE this little printer! I’ve used it to personalize treat boxes for a milestone birthday, greeting cards, wooden bookmarks and other projects. My favorite use has been on finished scrapbook pages. I can easily run the printer on my pages for journaling. I’m still on the original cartridge that came with the printer even after its many uses. Having said all of this, I do agree that the App itself needs some work…it has improved since it first came out. Also, I believe that subscription will be a yearly cost of about $30.
Love how you test products. Whenever I think if there is products I would like , I check your page and see if you have tested it. Been great for me so far. I thought maybe of this. Nope. Think it would cost too much down the line for me. Thanks for this.
Thank you for being so honest. You just saved me a ton of money. I think I kind of knew the answer but you confirmed it. I searched "is this printmaker worth it". Let's face it, if you are asking that question you do sort of know the answer or you would have just bought it. I had a similar machine years ago, very similar design where y0u stood it on the stand and put the cartridges in. Might have been by the same company. But there weren't any apps in those days soo you keyed in what you wanted or put cartridges into the machine itself with images on. Actually was probably much more worth the cost than this one. Mmm what should I buy instead then!
I am glad you did this video. It looks appealing when you see it in the store but it is very limited. It would be cool if it came with ink that you could use on fabric.
I wish I had seen this video before I bought one. I definitely would not have bought it as ribbon was my primary reason for doing so. But thanks so much for showing how to use it, I was doing some things all wrong. You definitely helped me so I can make some use out of this product I already purchased.
I'm still new to the printer , and I see the limitations but I love that I can make custom ribbon for my business. And yes I did but their ribbon but I feel you get a lot. And I can make custom tissue paper too. Love that 😊
I love yoru videos Angie! I watch this again now that I got one on the way. I got a nice bundle with lots of accessories. I am a WRMK fan but this is my jewel of the collection. :) Thank you again for excellent reviews.
I loved your review on it and I agree it is limiting. I did purchase it but mostly because I loved customizing tissue paper and some wood projects that I can't print on. I also agree the sizing sucks. I do find that it prints perfect on the wrmk ribbon and washi tape. If I were doing tags etc it's just easier printing from the computer and cricut cuts it. Thank you for this video!!! 💙💙

There are some really cool features about this particular machine (the light indicator is great and the premade designs are really cute) but there are some limitations (no pc app, only one line image, the waiting for the green light to go and all the things to buy extra) that tells me, that one is not for me.
Hi Angie, Thank you for the honest review. I would appreciate some suggestions from you if you could help me out. I am starting a small e-commerce store, and I am planning to customize packaging cardboard boxes with my logo/name and some other text on them. I considered having a personalized stamp but it's too much to spend if you need another design or another text stamp. Then I came across Silhouette Mint which sounds good to make as many stamps as I want but the max size they support is 45mm x 60mm which is still smaller. Then I came across your video of PrintMaker review, I liked this device mainly because you can print design on the go without making a stamp out of it first. I wanted to ask if PrintMaker would be a good fit for the purpose given the smaller area and other issues you mentioned in the video. Can you suggest me another device perhaps? I don't have enough knowledge regarding this technology.
I did not test this on cardboard so I am not sure how well it would work. It would probably be good for this type of purpose as location would not matter as much. However, you can only print in that thin line.

So my husband surprised me with this yesterday! I’m a little upset because apparently it had been returned, so I messaged WRMK and told them I didn’t get the QRG with the code. To me here’s the other thing to consider. The cost of replacement cartridges for this printmaker is $50.00! Were you to buy any of the guides in addition to the printmaker let’s say the 6 inch, & the 12 inch, also the ribbon guide, plus the printmaker, you’ve now spent over $430.00. That’s in addition to the $30 a month for the app. In my opinion I just don’t think it’s worth it.
I use the Wendy Vecchi Make Art Stay-tion to line up the guide... It is fantastic. You can also print on your own label paper and cut it into strips for washi tape. You can design your own washi tape and do not need to buy all the fancy products. Just the long ruler guide. It is fantastic for making personalized stamps for your greeting card projects. Hand made by: for example. . You can also adjust the text size and create 4 line address labels. You can also increase the size of the box and print a full 8.5 page width. Play with it... It does have many applications.
Thanks for the video! There is one thing I did not get... in other tutorials I saw, they say there are free designs that come with the app. Do you mean that the free designs are not offered anymore and after a year we have to pay a fee for all?
Thank you so much for your thoughts! I first saw this and thought that it looked cool but wasn't sold on it. Now after seeing it in action, I am glad I am sticking to my guns and not getting one (not that they are in Australia just yet!) But I am curious about the cartridges- are they expensive to replace? Obviously, it would require a special cartridge but the cost would add up over time if you used it a lot. Thanks again!
I just got mine. I hope there's a tutorial on how to replace the ink cartridge, too. That will be very helpful. That release bottom thing is not working.
Thank you for this review, i had one in my basket and decided to cancel on that. Its much cheaper for me to just buy printed ribbon from an etsy shop instead. £200 for the machine and no bits to go with - another £15 for the guides, £50+ for refils and £30 a year for the program itself?? which doesnt even work on THE PC? Wow! No thanks!

I was honestly frustrated with the app. I’ve been using the IPhone app every single time I would use it because I would be using my IPad for some other stuff while making craft but today I used the IPad app to print text and let me tell you…. I did NOT have to restart the app for every single new phrase I would try to print, it did not disconnect it at all for the 20 min that I was using it and I seriously had no issues… I am surprised, I think they are working on fixing the bugs on the Ipad app… although the IPhone app still the same tho. But I have high hope for it. I really think this portable mini printer is soo life changer when doing journaling/scrapbooking.
Cool product but oh my, what a specific little thing.I like the fact I could print on paper more than A4 sized but yeah, I'd have to do it manually. I considered it then while I was watching the part about the ink waste, I thought "oh, how much are the inks" and in Australia, they're like almost $100AUD ($60ish USD). That's insane. Unless it lasts a year, that's stupid.
Will it print of non-proprietary Washi tape? I saw that you tried using it to print to various ribbon but I didn’t catch if you tried printing to other non-memory keepers washi.
I wouldn't know how to print other washi tape? This washi tape comes with a backing on it so you can run it through the printer. Regular washi comes off of the roll sticky which I don't see working well.
What happens after the year if you don’t want to pay for the app, can you just upload your own designs like design’s made in photoshop, canva or procreate? Or do they make you pay to upload your own designs.
Thank you for your review, today I was about to buy it, Thank God I did not, I am looking for something similar to print tapes, this is definitely not, you know some other that you can recommend. Thank you

You can upload your own without paying.
Bonjour j’ai acheter la machine . J’ai un soucis elle ne se charge pas elle ne fait que clignote orange blanc . Avez vous une solution merci 🙏
When I initially saw this I was excited but after watching your video this is a definite pass for me. Thanks for the video!
Glad I could help!
Hi, will this print on pens or pencils? Like if I want to personalize them with names?
I don't think there is a way to do that.
I have trouble shooted so many times, would you happen to know why it's not printing at all?
Did you remove the protective piece from the ink cartridge before installing?
Thanks for the video
No problem!
What do you think is the best way to print on paper bags?
This would work for that.
Reminds me of the Xyron design runner that I still have.. not my favorite printer.. rather difficult to use..
I haven't tried that one!
It’s at least 10 years old- not sure I can even get ink cartridges any more..
Great video tfs
Thanks for the visit!
Thank you for your review, today I was about to buy it, Thank God I did not, I am looking for something similar to print tapes, this is definitely not, you know some other that you can recommend. Thank you
I haven't found any good alternative.
How do you get ink replacements
You would have to purchase through we r memory keepers.
How do you get a Michael's goody box?
I work with them as an influencer.
What model number is this. I ordered one on eBay and think it may be an older model. Thanks
I seriously don't know! Sorry!
@@AngieHolden That’s ok I found out. I had ordered one on eBay and thought it was and older model but it turned out to be the latest. Thanks for answering.
Mine prints an ink blob, before most prints.
Yep I got that as well sometimes.
one more thing do you have to you a magnetic guide, i've seen videos that people aren't use one. And can you use any magnetic guide.
I showed a guide that had magnets in the video.
Thank you, very good review helped me make up my mind. I will not be purchasing that machine it’s an endless pricey bill and very limiting.
Hello, I would like to buy this little machine but all the explanations are in English except I am French and I don't understand English. Could you tell me if you know a channel in French where I can understand the use before buying it please?
I do not know of one sorry.
That's going to be a no for me dawg, lol. Thanks for another informative video Angie!
You bet!
I'm surprised you said the yellow ribbon printed the best when it's not clear. Only the white ribbon you printed on first was the best.
Am having problems even getting it to connect and get cartridge out
Can it print on silicone?
I would not think it would work on that.
@@AngieHolden damn, but thx
just got mine a few days ago played with it somewhat but the code that came with mine for a year free subscription will not work not happy about that...
It took me FOREVER to get my code to work. I think it is just a glitch in their software.
Thanks for the demo. I would not purchase this either. To pricy for what it does.
It is very pricey!
Can you print on resin?
Not that I know of.
I didn’t think so either. Thank you!
