I didn't know KKs had stern thrusters? I really like the traditional position of the flybridge i.e. not directly on the roof of the pilothouse as in the EB, but I'd want a Bimini top so I could fold that back and see the stars at night whilst cruising from California to Hawaii! I love this boat, she looks great with her stern covers. And I love the fishing net tied to the boat deck rails!! I'm salivating. This captain is a very lucky man. Whether he earned his money or not...owning a boat like this is a rare privilege.
@@AskCaptainChris Ah ok...thank you Captain Chris! If my lottery ticket comes in, I'm flying straight to Florida to buy one of these beauties. I spend a lot of time looking at sea charts of the shallow seas around Florida...it's a really interesting part of the world. Thanks for your reply and happy cruising.
William Deertz when I first started filming there was a lot of static from the radio. I mentioned Kadey Krogen 52 OR 58 feet. So you are probably correct. I first caught sight of the boat as it was coming into the dock so I was speaking extemporaneously (hey that’s a 7 syllable word for extra points!!) - realized it could have been a 58 as soon as 52 came out my mouth. 🥴 Sure is a pretty boat, isn’t it?
Sure is, currently in Marathon and saw this boat while out and about. I’m potentially in the market for a KK52 which is why I am keen as to the differences.
I'd want bow and stern thrusters and software that keeps the boat in a geo-stationary static position. And the skills to park the boat using only engines, and only one engine....and the skills to dock the boat single handed...in all conditions. It's all good Mr. Do you use a washing machine dude? Or do you not use all this new fangled washing machine crap and go down to the river and wash all of your clothes and bed linen by hand and drape them over bushes to dry? It's just technology, which makes life easier for us. It doesn't mean the people that use technology are idiots, or that the people that don't use technology are superior. It's all good.
@@DrCrabfingers Actually, I stand corrected. Bulldog Sally is a 52. I confused her with Bulldog which is/was (changed names now) a 58. I wish I could delete my error.
No real harm. Thanks for sharing and telling us why you originally thought 58vs 52. But! You should be able to edit your original post. We do all the time. Especially when we learn new things. Look at the right side of your post. On my phone it shows three vertical dots. When you click on the dots it gives you an edit option.
beautiful boat !

Stern thrusters are a popular option.

Captain Chris you sure that’s a KK52? According to the info I have Bulldog Sally is a KK58.

William Deertz who are you working with- as in broker? Be sure to attend a KK open house and maybe TF in Stuart. Lots to learn and compare.
Have a KK39 now so looking at a couple boat brokered through KK
When I was growing up we dint have any of that fancy thruster crap
Remember, there's alot of people out there that have a lot more money than skills..

Bulldog Sally is a 58 - not a 52
Is that a 58? Wow...it doesn't look so big. Such a lovely boat.

Most of theses thrusters are all under powerd Against the wind and current ain’t worth a bag. Of poo
@@kenlee-97 I believe KKs have full hydraulic thrusters and windlass
