I don't think it's mentioned but I think that Travis was in his prime during the Skiba years. He had to fill that void of no Tom so he brought it in every show. It's like the fury of 2004 Travis but way cleaner

I've always loved blink 182. You absolutely can't replace tom in the older stuff. It just doesn't work. At the same time, His voice is a bit too whiny for me now. Matt fills the same roll with out having the long "YAAAAAAAMMMMM" on every other word. It's just too much for me. Maybe growing up listening to alkaline trio made it an easier transition too.
Either way, I love both the new and old. They survived the times somehow and had the right people at the right times.
