Cycling in L.A. - Episode 2

- Equipped with radar and a 360 camera, I just went out for a regular bike ride. Since every ride in LA is eventful I thought I'd start sharing them with these videos.
Some rides will be chill and relaxing, others won't quite be.
Episode 2 of this series. It's actually a pretty chill ride, only a few knuckleheads to write home about.
On Twitter I asked my followers to suggest random dates for me to look at and compile and present for episodes of this series. Today's episode was suggested by @workthebike. April 1, 2022.
- This video was a chance to show you all the Chandler Bike Path and the LA River Bike Path.
- We only had 5.5 bike lane/path blockages.
- Of course there was a daily leaf blower sending dirt into my eyes
- Just 2 redlight runners including a bizarre BMW Driver's right on red and then driving in the bike lane
- One fun shot of a driver bursting loudly from an intersection and then turning into a driveway
- My favorite part was a class of kids yelling happily while walking the LA River Bike Path!
Feel free to suggest a date in the comments for a future episode!

it's soo soothing transitioning from a public road to a dedicated bike path off the street. i love seeing bike paths in LA county
I agree, it's nice to take a minute and get off the streets. I'm going to be exploring more bike paths this spring and sharing them.
@@entitledcycling You should do a series/playlist where you ride the entire length of every single bike path in LA county. Even the shorter ones like Whittier Greenway trail or the Bellflower bike trail. That would be awesome. And then after that you can branch out to Orange and Riverside counties. The only one I would skip if I were you is the Compton Creek bike path.
Amazing ride! Watched fully, thank you. Please upload more!!!
Beautiful infrastructure
Love this, keep it up!
Thanks! I certainly plan to!
I want to see the Chandler Bike path everyfuckingwhere in LA/OC.
Agreed!
I love love love these videos. Please do more if you're up for it!
Its crazy how justified the drives are though or act, as if it’s a joke or a game. I guess it’s just the human characteristic of power, the idea that if they have just a little bit of power over you they will abuse it. The power being the car.
keep yapping im so close
Lots of memories on that trail running through my mind where I used to ride.
Have you tried going the other way in this route? If you go west in the chandelier bike path you run into the orange line busway bike path which will take you out to Woodland Hills and chatsworth
I’m pretty sure the kids were yelling “awesome” to you
I was lamenting the bike paths we have in Oxford recently, because they're occasionally a bit cramped, but looking at some of the roads you have to cycle on, and the drivers you have to interact with (not only on this video, but on the channel in general) I feel a lot more priviledged
Stay safe out there, wish we had more bike paths in LA. Could be worse here too, there's always somewhere worse!
Do you ever eat at Casitas Tacos Al Carbon? It’s right down the road from where the bike path ended. Magnolia at North Victory. Great Mexican fast food.
I haven't, I'll have to check that place out!
@@entitledcycling get the three taco combo. It’s a feast, includes a drink
which e-bikes do you own or recommend? i am looking into getting into e-biking
I own an Aventon Level 2 and I really like it because of the torque sensor. I had a Rad City 5 for a while and it was great too, but the aventon feels a lot more like riding a road bike in terms of fit and the motor's reactivity.
On this ride I was on my road bike which is a Specialized Roubaix
@@entitledcycling is that one of those pedal assist mid-drive kind or does it have a throttle with a rear hub motor?
@@ropeysubstance1719 Pedal and throttle with rear hub, but the Aventon Level 2 has a torque sensor so it feels a bit more like a regular bike or a mid-drive. If you ever decide to go with Aventon I am an affiliate with them! Here is the link, let me know if you have any other questions! bit.ly/45G8xOA
Wait, do you bike for fun or for work (commuting?)
(asking because am considering biking to work).
I think he does both. And commuting on a bike may make commuting more "fun".
I do both!
