Oh my god, I can't believe I missed so many details, like Dot in the window, or the painting of Liko.
But liko's house eating Ash's house for breakfast is pretty funny.
I definitely wouldn't have noticed dot if liko didn't mention it

One of my favourite little moments in the episode was Liko and Roy, and the others go shopping. I feel like many pokéboys don't like shopping and just stand on the sidelines when there were scenes like this in the past. But here we got a nice friendship building moment.
Tbh since Liko's mom was able to hire a whole crew as bodyguards, she must be pretty stacked, so having a fancy house shouldn't be that surprising
I just realized:
we are introduced to Paldea in episode 9, as in GEN 9
1:22 holy sh**! I never would've seen that. That is such a well-hidden easter egg.

Looking at the preview got me so excited!
This was a really good episode that focused on Liko. I was happy to see Liko tell her father that she wants to stay with the Rising Volt Tacklers and continue her journey. I’m giving this episode a 9/10.
I’m just waiting for the Tinkaton episode.
I never thought I would say this but I actually missed your Journeys rants. They were the only good thing that would come out of a big Journeys fuck up.
Haha tbh I don't really miss doing rants since they often gave me a bit of sore throat thanks to the shouting xD

The episode was ok. I really do look forward to Nemona though since her character can really spice things up.
well I guess we can say the gen 9 anime has officialy started with Liko nad Roy and then probably a third certain edgy chracter will join them making it a trio. You know something we are used to :)

I might have missed something, but I never even considered that Liko was brought to Paldea to actually stay there, but the Volteccers where hired as bodyguards, not an escort ... like, even if you leave aside the meta-aspect that she's the main character and no viewer with a halfway functioning brain will buy this cheap conflict, so far for all we've seen Liko is safest when Friede is around, and even he couldn't really keep her safe. Unless her mother is a battler on a similar level, or her father is stronger than he looks (and even then), what's the plan?
The Adventure-Dudes already came after her on school grounds, they won't stay away just because she's home.
Speaking of plans that are not thought out, Roy is starting to get on my nerves hardcore. "Oh, a black Rayquaza has been mentioned? Let's go there!" ... again: And then what?! You wanna catch it with your lvl5 partner? (I know there are no levels in the Anime, I just want to emphasize how very weak they are.) You need a proper team and years of really good training before you can even think about that.
This is the same kind of idiocy as with Gou. I know Roy is supposed to be the airhead-type, but there are adults with him, on of which claims to be a professor, who should give him some perspective.
This episode felt like a waste of time for the most part. The one thing I'll give them credit for is not explicitly stating why both Pokemon became friends over that cushion.
At least the next episode with Nemo might be fun, I hope they bring some competitive arc into this and we're not only stuck with stupid Adventure-Plots.
Tbh her mom being a good battler could potentially be a nice plot twist and also a reason for her wanting Liko to return. She does seem to be busy with something and maybe that certain thing is "taking on challengers" (now I'm going a bit too farfetched here but tbh it's the only logical thing I can come up with for now^^)
I honestly just gave up on criticizing Roy since he's just like I described in my other reviews: a nice guy, but with motivations being shallow, vague and just too similar to the Volteccers. He still hasn't done anything to really convince me but I will keep my hopes for him.
And I really do hope that Nemo spices things up since her whole character is basically all about pokemon battles and searching for a challenge (at least in the games she's like that.)
Also since they're going to encounter a gym leader I do hope that this will also increase the chance of providing some much needed action to the series

Paldea will be a great region with new pokemon.
Hope we see more of that region than what we saw of the Galar_Region

Hopefully soon! Maybe even in the next few weeks it really depends what the next episodes will be about.
I actually wouldnt have too much hope for Penny . Arven yes since there is paradox pokemon in the ending rap song . But Penny don’t think it will happen. The anime story is different from the games , Penny and Team Star were an Academy storyline , with Liko studyingin Kanto ( like her parents did at her age ) there is no need for Penny or Team Star at all.
I somehow still believe Liko has some sort of connection to Ash. It’s mostly because of the hair clip she has. I mean it could be similar to Monkey D Luffy and Shanks connection like how Luffy new shanks when he was younger
Liko and Roy need to dump the Rising Volt Tacklers, bring in that classmate girl from Episode 1, and start their own adventure.

I was never fond of the theory of Ash being Liko's father but even if Ash were to appear in this series, he would still be 10.

Is it weird to see a new region where we don't see Ash Ketchum exploring it? How many of you think that he has a starter Pokemon from this region and the previous region if he makes a bunch of guest appearances in this anime? Do you think he should be the same age as when we last saw him?
