I think this guy is fun. He seems to talk about very serious things and it never gets him down. He's a strange guy to be talking philosophy but he makes it really understandable and seems to be unfazed by any of it.
Was the scientist discussed at roughly 12:00-12:15 Pierre-Simon Laplace, event taken from Exposition du systeme du Monde? As I've said in other videos, thanks for putting these on youtube. They grant a lot of value to what would otherwise be a long and uneventful workday.
thanks for this. i've been interested in philosophical ideas but find that when I try to read the papers of philosophers, I get bored or I dont understand much of the thing. so uploaded lectures are great

Thank you for much! I really enjoy this lecture. Fun and informative!
By saying he has no need of the "hypothesis" what he meant was of the third substance. He's following Descartes. Hypothesis changed meaning.
One of my favorite of your lectures professor. I am also biased towards hume and epistemology though 😁
My god what an awesome teacher
Is there a lecture where the terms 'Scientific Image' and 'Manifest Image' are first introduced?
Does Bonevac teach about Hanna Arendt?
Can u make a lecture just talking about Descartes? I am from Istanbul Turkey.
These are awesome! Thanks for the uploads sir!
is the position that thoughts are physical structures in brains a problem?
Thanks....
Isn’t the definition of philosophy, and thereafter man, hermetic? Man only knows himself by knowing himself? Seems religious to me
Great lecture, terrible Scottish accent haha! A little bit too Irish
