That car is a steal for 25k. Very high quality and good options for the money.

2.5L is a proper size engine unlike so many 1.6L, 1.5L, and even smaller engines seen in other cheap cars these days. Mazda want so much $$$ to bolt on a turbo, so even though I like the turbo, this N/A option has much better value.
Turbo’s also not going to have the ridiculously long life that naturally aspirated engines do. Why I’m going Mazda for my next car, hard to find them from Toyota or Honda anymore
@@CodaBroda I have a 1.8L from 2006 with 253k miles on it.
Just bought my mazda3 from this exact dealership last night! Awesome car, and awesome people working there. Can highly recommend both the car and Orem Mazda :)
Congratulations! Did you pay msrp or more?
Is the steering feel too heavy?
@sachinnair91 I actually came in well below MSRP. The steering is somewhat heavy, and so is the braking. But I actually really like that in a car. I was in a 2017 honda civic before this and the driving felt a little flimsy in that.
the fact that this car does NOT have a turbo makes me want to buy it...i want a car that will last a long time and is reliable.
Still no real substitute for a large displacement engine that is loafing and enough gears for longevity. I bought the preferred model. My other vehicle is a 2018 CR-V with the base engine, so I missed the fuel dilution fiasco there. I'm sure the CVT is reliable, but it just feels wrong.
Cvt? On the crv? The mazda has a 6 spee automatic
I'm new to car research. What do you mean by not wanting a turbo and why?
@@tiklemeangi A turbocharger simply gives the engine more air in order to make more power. More power, decreases longevity. If what you're looking for in a car is reliability, you wouldn't buy a car with a turbocharger, even if it were the exact same price as one without it.
@tiklemeangi if you need the extra power get the turbo but this non turbo Mazda, at 191 hp, has plenty enough for most people.
The downside to turbos is added expense long term because the turbo will need replacing eventually and are pretty expensive.
The most beautiful car on the market right now.
I stopped paying attention when I saw those beautiful mountains 😂 🤦♀️. You definitely sold me! Most definitely the car I’m getting myself into ⭐️ thank you. Great video 👍
I love the front end
I clicked the link that Ben provided and checked out the exact 2024 Mazda 3 sedan that Ben is driving in this video. Right off the bat, Orem Mazda is offering a $500 discount on the car. So the price is $25,355 after destination. I bet Orem would take another $500 off if you're serious about buying the car. What a pleasant surprise compared to buying say a new 2024 Corolla where you still have to pay thousands over MSRP.
Sedan all the way. So much smarter looking. Nice plus is that all of the sedans for 2024 have been coming from Japan too.
I’m gonna have to go back to the mazda dealership and check it out because I thought all sedans were made in Mexico. If so I may buy a sedan because I only want Japan built Mazdas.
I have a Mazda 2 2012 made in Japan. The thing is rock solid since I bought it.
if only if only I could Buy a Mazda 3 in NZ for that price! with that Spec! I am crying inside! Maybe the only bonus is I live in one of the most Beautiful Countries in the World!
the infotainment system looks like someone forgot their phone on the dash 🤣
That's exactly what my 4yo child was thinking while sitting in the front seat and trying to rip it off from the dash and put it on her lap:)
I don't know what's going on with the infotainment Center but this has been the same for years it looks ridiculous
@@mozlas 4 year old kids belong in the back seat.
My last car was a MAZDA 3 - loved it.
Best compact car for the money way better than a base Corolla and civic.
Great video Ben! Glad that the Mazda steering feel isn't too heavy. Some people complain that the Mazda 3 has excessively heavy steering, especially at low speeds like around parking lots
I think that is because of the lane centering option, if you turn it of the steering wheel much lighter, and i think the cx5 steering wheel is heavier than 3 or cx30
Thank you, I'll just turn it off
I think that’s mainly for the hatchback since it’s a little heftier than the sedan. For the sedan everyone says it handles amazing
Insane Mazda Ben !! ❤❤
Brian, many of us don't need or want AWD.
Super classing for the price gonna get 1 asap! Great review 🎉
Turbos break at roughly 100k (if not sooner) and they are very expensive to repair. The resale value goes down because it is not a secret that turbos break, so at roughly 80k miles a potential buyer is going to think twice about he price tag.
Whereas a well-built naturally aspirated engine mated to either a well built REAL automatic or manual transmission can go 200k+ miles with proper oil changes.
Now a lot of people burn money by constantly having car payments. They consider car payments like paying taxes. But, car payments are really a choice. There's no law that says once you're done paying for your car you must buy another. BUt the thing is with all these turbos and hybrids (and not well-made) vehicles, people are pretty much (and car makers want this) putting themselves in a position in which car payments are forever just like taxes.
Car companies like Honda (and I think all of them nowadays) don't allow it, but back in the day even having a car radio was an option. So a person could buy a stripped version of the car, then, for example, drive to the nearest car radio store and have installed a much better system than what Honda offers for 1/3 of the price.
Is it really that hard to roll windows up and down or lift a parking brake?
These are the sorts of things that car reviewers should start focusing more on, nto it has this and it has that for only 11,000 more. Is it any wonder that people can barely afford their rent, let alone a down payment for a house, when so much of a paycheck is eaten by a car payment?
We need good, well-made vehicles that don't cost a lot and to do that car companies need to stop offering carplay, electric parking brakes, a digital dahs, this BS and that BS.
I drive a 2009 Jeep Patriot with a 2.4 liter engine, I paid it off in 21/2 years. I haven't had a car payment since. It doesn't have an electric brake, it doesn't have power windows, etc It only has an am/fm radio with a CD player. In other words it has very little that can break. Yeah, I've put some money into it for maintenance etc, but nowhere near the 25k for this car or 40k+ for a average new car.
In short, I don't get how so many people today can waste money on a cr because "it has lumbar support" and then they can't make ends meet.
Sorry for the rant.
Agree sharp car. Looking to downsize from 2015 Camry. Adding the Mazda 3 to comparison list. Thanks for review. Enjoyed the mountain views in background.
got mine for a graduation gift IM IN LOVE
Congratulations! You're lucky and fortunate.
I'm really thinking about getting this car.
@@marvinmurakami8828 cant recommend it enough!
I priced this exact car just now on Mazda Canada website. It's 38k plus 13% tax plus 6.9% finance rate. it clocks in at 53 thousand dollars! - YES 53K. No thank you on any new car sales these days. You gotta be nuts!!
Your fault for livijg in communist canada, i got one for 23k with taxes and everything ended up being 27k
How's Trudeau working out for you? Get rid of him once and for all.
@@Tragick_Sin lucky you.
Trudeau wants his cut. He needs to take his family on a 6 month lavish vacation this year 😏
If Mazda offers a 6spd manual option in the sedan then I would have it on top of my list.
For 25K, Mazda 3 is THE ABSOLUTE BEST BUY!!! No other car in its class has the looks and feel of Mazda 3!!! Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla look like toy cars comparing to this Mazda 3 that has that amazing luxurious feel and plenty of charisma!!!
Legroom in the back is tight and the six-speed transmission means higher gas consumption. Mazda needs to correct all this in the next generation.
Wow Ben’s look has changed so much!
ليه المورد السعودي شال حامل الاكواب اللي ورا!؟ ماله داعي
Ben, would this be a good first car? For my daughter.
Def this or the Civic
A good first car for your daughter is a Mitsubishi Mirage or Nissan Versa, this is too fancy
@@johnkonde1975it’s really not. It has all the essential features that a first time driver would love and for the price it beats every other car in the market
This is the trim level and color that I bought last week.
@jetscreamer1 So why watch the video after you bought the car?
Advertisement - After two minutes - all I heard was about “the lines”, logo emblems, wheels
Deep Crystal blue & ceramic coated 💦
They need to bring the mazda6 back
I'd actually buy the base model because it has cloth seats--> last decades longer!
Sounds like you got spoil with the 2.5 L turbo.😂
I used to live in Provo 😊
I would not want a Turbo, just more maintenance cost, for power that I don`t need personally.
Turbo more problems down the road
Does it have a heads-up display?
I believe the turbo and higher trim models come with a hud.
Not this trim
Do new passat chinese and us variant

The hatchback is so much cooler and more practical...
Looks are subjective and the hatch has surprisingly little cargo room compared to the sedan. Not to mention the piss poor rear visibility on the hatch. But hey, that's why they sell both, pick your favourite.
@@Harry-Cardboard Wo said anything about looks? And when it comes to practicality, even the shape and way the trunk opens counts.
@@AdventurousNomad007 When you said "The hatchback is so much cooler" I took it to mean you liked the look of it better than the sedan.
Not a very enthusiastic review for a very good car
I wanted a Mazda like this BUT the entrainment system is extremely boring. I went with a Subaru Impreza Sport Wagon. It has maybe a 10 inches screen system.
That infotainment screen in your Subaru Impreza, is EXTREMELY laggy and slow. Especially when it’s cold.
Hey Mazda......... Just a piece of advice from your potential customers. 🧐
Stop trying to be "unique" and start being a little more practical.
First off, get rid of that outdated rotary dial in the console and use a touch screen panel. What year is this........1996 ??🤦
Next, improve the rear seating capacity on the hatch back. Are those rear seats designed to carry 2 grown adults or were they designed to haul an order of Chinese sardines? 🤦
Lastly, try engineering the design of the hatchback to improve visibility without sacrificing an appealing design.
You've pretty much perfected the handling and performance. Now, focus on those features along with functionality.
And for such a nice compact vehicle, please offer it in more manual transmissions. There are still many driver enthusiasts who prefer it in a manual transmission. 🙎
I'd be very careful purchasing a new Mazda. I bought a new 2022 Mazda3 in 2022, the premium version from Safford Brown Fairfax Mazda. The leather on my driver's seat is changing color, and it has been a month of back and forth between Mazda and the dealership. After submitting numerous pictures and with the dealership's internet not working, Mazda does not want to take care of this. They are saying it is normal wear and tear, and my car is STILL under warranty! Might be heading to the BBB soon.
I selected Parchment leather (off-white) in my new snowflake white pearl Mazda CX5, 2 managers at the dealer told me the dye from blue/black jeans would absorb on to the leather seats. They offered me a warranty for the leather which I declined. I always put clear seat covers/protectors on all of my past vehicles. When I sell or trade-in the cars the buyers or dealers say “wow” your interior looks new. I have figured out how to take care of my things myself and don’t expect much from others. It works. I’ve had 4 Mazdas and all have been great! Other brands like Ford fall apart. I sold them fast. Bottom line, use seat covers. My Mom’s new Infiniti QX50 leather seats are discoloring from black to yellow. Dad bought her seat covers after he cleaned the seats with McGuires products. I buy the custom cut floor mats to protect the carpets and cargo area as well. I’m a bit of a perfectionist with my cars and personal belongings. I carry wipes of all kinds and a portable vacuum cleaner in the Mazda too.
Wasting time on BBB, you gotta take accountability or buy cars with cloth interior and think ahead, use common sense as I tell my twin boys.
@joshua9073 Good for them for offering you a warranty. I don't trust Mazda. No premium leather should have to be re-dyed while still within the warranty period. Not only did my leather drivers seat have to be re-dyed, but my battery went at 29k on the car. This is the second Mazda3 that I have owned that did this. The last being my 2018 Mazda3 Grand Touring. This time it took Mazda over 2 hours to jump start my car so I could drive to the dealership to be told they didn't know if they could replace it because it was so close to quitting time. They ended up making it happen, though. My friends tell me I bought a lemon. The tires also needed replacing at 21k miles. I replaced with Continentals. Mazda chose cheap Toyo tires as the OEM tire.
Corollas use lots of cheap plastcs
Yes. They feel very cheap. I drove one 1,000+ miles as a rental last summer.
Black wheels are nasty nasty nasty nasty nasty!!!!!! I will never have a car with black wheels. Did you loose your plastic wheel covers?
I don't know man you need to find a new job .not good sales person
