The sinking of the USS Altea (Part 1)
June 16, 2018
Stormworks pier
The USS Altea departed with a crew of 20 to patrol the waters of the stormworks sea. The ship is operated by Jank coast guard on behalf the stormworks navy. At 12:26pm, after saving 3 people from a sinking yacht, slight amounts of rain started pouring down. Officer Cakes looked at the weather screen and said that a huge storm is ahead of them. Over the course of 3 hours, the storm neared the ship and waves were rising higher and higher. Eventually, at 3:01pm, the ship entered the storm and waves were as nearly as high as the ship. At 3:03pm, the ship received an SOS signal from a nearby fishing boat. The ship head there at full speed. Before long, naval officer Brandon spotted the ship. The USS Altea rushed at full speed. However, as it began slowing down, the ship was still moving toward the boat. The crew realized that the waves were causing them to keep going, and that the ship was still moving. They attempted to steer clear of the boat, however, it was too late. The bow of the ship crashed onto the fishing boat. The boat capsizes. It sinks to the bottom of the sea in less than 20 seconds. Fortunately, the fisherman, O.B. Bob, managed to escape the sinking ship and was rescued. Little does the crew know that debris had penetrated the front side of the ship. O.B. was taken to the hospital room for treatment. When the crew returned to the bridge, fog had rolled in. It turns out the collision had damaged the navigational systems of the ship.
