I heard this on Agents of Shield on Netflix. I liked it immediately and looked it up. It's so cute. I've listened to it several times a day now for the past 3 days.
What preacher wouldn't say a prayer for her? I would too. I heard a little bit of what I assumed to be nervousness, yet she still has a beautiful voice.😢 Please, I need LOVE also. Prayers also accepted by me. Believe me. I really need all I can get. Thank you and good day.
@FanofMusic68 I think the song's about someone who is in love with someone, but she just won't accept it because she's very independent. As for the chorus... you're right, it doesn't make any sense :P

@KeezeeD It's not meant to be worship. In many cities, churches are often the only venue that will book all-ages shows, or shows during the day. Generally some of the proceeds do go to the church, but the people performing aren't members - or even religious at all. It's the same deal here in DC - since the punk scene is largely under 21, you often see flyers with pentagrams on them advertising church shows. It is ironic.

"Preacher...she can get" Likewise, the preacher thinks she's misguided/a troublemaker and needs help, so he prays for her. It makes sense ;)
Catherine did seem a bit nervous to me too. I love B&S and don't get me wrong i still want you to come to the us! PLeAsE!! But some members of the band cough*stuartndrummerw/sheetmusic*cough did not look to into it. I'm not saying act all fake and cheerful but don't be falling asleep either. But still, i do love the song =D
