That was beautiful. Brings me back. My son is 34 now but we rode all through his childhood. Definitely one of those things you can do with your kids that don't bore you to tears lol. You're a good mum.
Absolutely fabulous Juliet this is what children need, fun, experience and time with parents. It doesn’t have to be expensive like you say. Well done you 🙌🏻
Love it! My dad took three of my siblings and me on a 200km bike trip back in, well, maybe 1982?! My youngest brother could hardly stop with his tiny bike, his legs still too short to reach the ground. Plus most of the trip was with car traffic, following a river ‚valley’ in northern Germany from north to south, we camped in the wild and shared a small tent - only good memories 😅
This is absolutely perfect. My 6 year old son hates his bike, one elbow scuff when he was 3 has put him off for life. Bribery is not working. Loving the content. 👌
Kids will always surprise you if you give them opportunities. It these types of experiences that they will remember, not the things they were bought. It also gives them confidence that will always stand them in good stead. Great trip. 👍
I took my kids white water canoeing, down caves, in woods camping, riding bikes, and they all grew up loving the outdoors with a sense of adventure. I think you are creating memories and building confidence for the future. So much better than iPads, tv and games consoles.
The thumbnail alone deserves all of my support, absolutely endearing picture! 😊 They must feel pretty proud of you trying hard to involve them, making them feel like they can make it if they want to. It is pretty soul-crushing observing really young individuals having no confidence in themselves, appearing really broken and distraught; not every parent is on their best behaviour. When your little one will have grown up she will realize how fortunate she has been having you Juliet, you're doing great mummy work 😄😊 =]
Giving kids some trust and responsibility really makes them blossom. Even if it's little, them carrying part of the luggage is huge. Let's also not forget in less fortunate places of the world children do a lot more.
That's a really lovely video of the joys of cycling and a night away with little children, 😀, the romany caravan, the fruit picking, all such great things to do with kids ! Let's hope memories of trips like that inspire them when they look back as they get older to go for the joys of the outdoors life........and especially riding a bike on traffic free trails !
We did a pretty serious bike touring trip with our kids when they were 5 and 7 yo. Three nights i tent. The older one on his own bike and the 5 yo girl on an "follow me" bike. This was 2018 and it was super nice weather. We still talk about that trip. Now the kids are 10 and 12 and its harder to motivate them. They rather stay home with friends and play computer games and so on. It's a bit sad. Anyway, it was lovely to see your trip!😊
Kids ate great at camping. My first camp with the kids was terrible. It rained, the tents got wet beds got wet. We slept in the car. Got up the next morning and started a fire got them fed. They were so excited they wanted to donit again next year. Maybe dryer. lol
Omg brave woman! I’m exhausted just watching that! So much fun though! You should be high-fiving yourself senseless! Brilliant trip and a brilliant video! 👍
This was a lovely video, thank you. Our baby girl is due in a couple of months and I really hope we'll have some great family cycling adventures together too!
Absolutly brilliant video, thats what kids should be doing, your an inspiration to mothers across the globe. Memory's for our kids is key. Nice bike by the way !!!☺
That was awsome... i started cuussing the car driver's when i seen how fast they were driving in close quarters... wth? Those are kids!!!!! Any hoo... when you go on yer next ride from your home, scout a fun trail and stelth camp off a hike a bike trail into nature where you can avoid as much traffic as possible and be not far but away from those that aren't doing, wht your doing, just to have some time that feels like you are the only people on earth and act accordingly... ment to say take your daughter with you as well... you'll both know a secret spot that's unique to the both of you...:) thanks for sharing, Juliet:)
I love this. The kids clearly had such great fun, hope you did too as it’s pretty stressful in charge of 3 kids. Sure they can manage a bit further next time
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Awesome Juliet … the kids looked extremely happy 😊😊😊🚴♀️🚴♀️ Camping 💯..great memories..kids are kids .. unfortunately ppl can be previous .. take them somewhere else .. they deserve to go somewhere they can rip it up noise wise and riding .. loved the content .. question ? Are they all your kids ? I thought you only had the one ? 🥰🥰🥰🥰.. definitely 10/10 enjoyed it .. hope you do more ..very entertaining.
That was brilliant😊 Great viewing! To see such well behaved children was a treat😁👍 They put my sister and I to shame even now👍 Shame someone saw fit to complain because they were being children🤪 Nice to see them keen to copy Mum😁👌
@@JulietElliottsChannel I once dropped a dandelion stalk down the back of my Sister’s jeans and laughed until I was old off by Dad!😁 Mind you, that was last year in Scotland😆👍
This sounded like a "bold" idea but it was wonderfully executed. Congrats on getting them all hooked on riding. And who were those lame narcs at the campsite?
Wow! Perfect! 🤗 *You didn't do anything wrong!* 😃👍 I had liked to have such an adventurous (and slightly crazy, in a positive way) mum or mum of a classmate 45 years ago. 😉 What's the age of the children? How man km was a single trip?
That was great, i think your kids may put you out of a job soon 😂. I know it's far from devon but the new forest has excellent compact gravel paths and campsite. Also i went to the monsal trail in Bakewell last year and thats a excellent place as well
Better to do the first backpacking trip to be too short, so they can look forward to another trip and then the next trip can be more challenging. If you want to take more gear perhaps you can use a bike chariot. Bike flags could help make them more visible to drivers.
And not a mobile phone in sight. School holidays have started around here, you wont see any kids outside until they ferried to back to school in September.
You're sort of limited with how far kids will ride or can ride but if you can do a small amount its better than just camping. Leaving your car is a bit risky unless you can leave in a safe spot. Hard to get away from traffic

Love that not only she does the biking like mama but the filming 🥰
We finally found the star in the family
Absolutely brilliant 👏 👌 My 3 are in their 20s now but still talk about our camping adventures! Making memories is what life's about❤

great to see you doing a activity together , its important to give them exposure to the outside and having fun , keep up the good work with the kids

Well if you’re not already the coolest mum ever… now you are!!! How awesome!!! Bet the kids loved it. 👌👌

That was brilliant! I love miniadventures like this. I don’t have kids myself, so you have to do some more of these, Juliet! 😀👍

With you always forgetting something, I was expecting a turn around to collect a forgotten kid 😂😂😂
Perfect trip for the young ones looked like alot of fun.
I love this. The kids clearly had such great fun, hope you did too as it’s pretty stressful in charge of 3 kids. Sure they can manage a bit further next time
Totally brilliant, get them into cycling and the great outdoors early. Well done. More please.
They are going to remember this forever, awesome!
Brilliant trip for the kids - Juliet is such a great Mum 🥰
Thanks, I try!

Oh Juliet this is so wonderful!!! Kids just love exploring and going on adventures!
Brilliant Jules !! Looking forward to the next one with the kids, Enjoyed x

Loved every single bit , I would like to take my kid like that , cheers from México.
thanks! Hope you can some day
I have recently become a dad and after watching this I absolutely cannot wait to do with my daughter one day!
That’s awesome. You’re gonna love it!
This sounded like a "bold" idea but it was wonderfully executed. Congrats on getting them all hooked on riding. And who were those lame narcs at the campsite?
Looks like such a fun time. I need to try this with my kids.
Thoroughly enjoyed that, what a great trip for you all :)
Juliet, I predict you have started a trend among all parents. Count me in!
Wow, they looked like they had so much fun!
They did, I’m so pleased
Love this. Looking at doing a bikepacking adventure with my daughter soon. Can I just ask how old are the kids?
"I just graded my thumb". Been there, done that (and worse). OUCH!
Probably my Favorite Biking Video Ever. You are an incredible Mum.
Wow! Perfect! 🤗
*You didn't do anything wrong!* 😃👍
I had liked to have such an adventurous (and slightly crazy, in a positive way) mum or mum of a classmate 45 years ago. 😉

Making memories 😊
This could become a dynasty

What a lovely adventure for everyone!
great video, one you all can look back on in years to come :)

That was quite the adventure! You are very brave. Maybe the campsite is owned by a descendant of Basil Fawlty?
And not a mobile phone in sight. School holidays have started around here, you wont see any kids outside until they ferried to back to school in September.
This is Brilliant! What a great team.
Thank you. It was such a fantastic trip
Yay for the next generation! Wonderfull
Omg I love to go back packing with you 😊
Brilliant video. Really enjoyed it.
Many thanks!
Good mum in this video
You are a wonderfull mum.Brilliant !
Thank you so much
Congratulations!
Thank you!
Really helpful, inspiring and full of good tips! Feel closer to trying to do the same 🤞🙏❤️
Go for it!
That was brilliant! 😀
Thanks! 😃
Very uplifting! Looks like your daughter will be leaving you in her dust pretty soon.
You're sort of limited with how far kids will ride or can ride but if you can do a small amount its better than just camping. Leaving your car is a bit risky unless you can leave in a safe spot. Hard to get away from traffic
Supermom! Just fantastic.
FABULOUS!!!😍😍😍
How many milloneys? (how far did you ride)? 😎
Another fab video ❤
Yay! Thank you!
what happened to the early rider bikes?
Still got it and still love it. Our youngest rides the hard tail early rider, it’s brilliant
I was a great idea and looks like you all had a great time shame about others on campsite
Amazing 😊
Very cute
7 mins or so. How old is your daughter? I'm 63, she's already faster than me, probably faster than I've ever been!
You live in a beautiful part of the country, wouldn't a farmer let you use a field for one or two nights
👌
M o r n i n g !
Ouch!!!!
Moving Info Advertising. After over a year warching its Time go say Bye bye..

You have a pretty looking face
