Following the raw footage of our birth vlog, I wanted to walk you through what we were actually thinking in the moments leading up to one of the most crazy, beautiful, intense moments of our lives. I hope this adds some perspective & the Lord continue to use this story to show you just how present He truly is throughout every aspect of our lives, especially child birth.
    With love,
    Alyssia 💛

So your husband is a paramedic you mentioned? I’m sure that was also very comforting for you? Beautiful story and can’t wait to watch more of your vlogs. May God bless you and the family.

Yes, he was in the past! It definitely was reassuring to know that he had the basic skills in case anything went sideways. Thank God they weren't needed 🤍

Thank you for sharing this & congratulations❤️ my husband and I are expecting and I want to do a natural unmedicated birth and your story just inspired me so much, it’s so beautiful to see God show up in others lives, you handled birth so well and you gave me the confidence to follow through with my plan. I want to ask how bad was the pain when you were pushing?
You did an amazing job and once again congratulations. God bless you and your family❤️

thank you 💛 & congrats! you got this.
i would say because i waited for my body to do the pushing, it definitely felt more like pressure than pain. also it felt way better to push than just the contractions by themselves.

You do dilate early. I don't dilate until they have to induce me, though this time around I was 2 cm the week leading up to my birth which amazed me. That is not normal for me. The fact that you were 4 cm at 37 weeks is crazy! it is so cool how our bodies work and that you can feel when it is time. It feels like needing to take the biggest poop in the world! haha. I think you handled this birth amazingly by the way!!! You seemed way calmer than most women would believe you should be. Yeah having the baby under water like that would freak me out!! I'd be standing and squatting him out haha. Great teamwork you both had! Great job.

so you were induced with all of your babies except the last? so interesting! & thank you. yeah i thought about squatting but I thought my knees & hips might hurt if I did that 🤣

@@alyssiachelseaI was induced with all three. I had a ten pound baby the first time, 41 weeks with no dilation. Had to be induced and so it does not happen again, I was induced at 39 weeks for my last two.
