Still have my mom’s hand grinder and yes we used to make ham salad and roast beef salad. It was always a big deal to clean thoroughly and fully dry. Great memories.
I have that book and am so happy with it! 99% of the recipe books I buy don’t get used but this is a repeat book. Her roasted whole chicken weeks are my favorite. Easy and doable for beginner meal preppers.
Ahhhhhh Theres Jen meal prepping. My world feels less weird now🌈 PS- "Some people may say baking cookies isn't meal prep..." I'm reminded of a certain video of GOLD where Jen says, "DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!"🤣❤
I also make meatloaf on a baking sheet. Line the baking sheet with foil. Place a foil-covered cooling rack on the sheet. Poke a few holes in the foil. Bake meatloaf on top of cooling rack so that meatloaf doesn't sit in the grease. I also rinse my cooked ground beef in hot water after cooking to get rid of most of the fat. I"m surprised when people on RUclips don't rinse it. Am I the only one to rinse ground beef? Love your videos. I get lots of great ideas.
My mom used to make a ham salad. I remember the hand crank grinder on the edge of the kitchen table. It used to be my job turn it. She would cut up all the ingredients for zucchini relish. Then it would be the ham, onions and garlic. Then she would stir in spices, horseradish, vinegar, a bit of Tabasco and mayo. Dad took it to work in a sandwich.
I was just thinking, let me see if Jen has a new video up... and just looked and 23 minutes ago, it was there! I hit LIKE everytime even before I watch her videos because they NEVER disappoint! I am waiting for an Amazon delivery for Kiera for her birthday, but everything is running late... it might not arrive until May 1st, and then I have to mail it. I don't know what date her birthday is exactly, but I hope it will arrive in time. Stay safe everyone! x
Both my grandmother and mother made ham spread when I was growing up. I mentioned this to my husband and he grimaced - I am looking forward to making this spread and those cookies. Thank you! Take care. -Lorri
Hi Jen! I hope you are doing well. My daughter asked me to thank you on her behalf. She says my cooking and baking has gotten much better since I started watching your channel. 💖⭐️ My cookies turned out flat and delicious! I’ll try your suggestions next week. 😊
I waited all weekend for a new video. I happened to wake up at 3am and checked my phone for the time and there it was my notification of your video. Guess who is not going back to bed now lol
My mom still uses a hand crank for her ham salad. It’s my great grandmothers maybe I know it’s stamped like 1910. It’s OLD. But that’s how she does it. My grandmother up until last year at 92 hand cranked her pasta. She refuse to use anything other than her hand cranker thingy she has for like 80 years.
I thought the same thing while watching Zachary Michaels video too! Grew up with it and still make it. I actually have my grandmas table clamped grinder (but use my food processor). My favorite growing up was made with left over roast beef. And always with dill relish!!!
Girl… I love it that you put Zach‘s comments in there. And I about fell out when he was saying that about that baloney when he did that on his shell originally… Too funny. I hope y’all are doing well
My mom always made a bologna type mixture. She called it combination sandwiches. I have no idea what she puts in it but omg it’s so good!!! I’m ordering the cookbook!!! Great video!! 🥰
I fully support chocolate chip cookies as meal prep! It’s cool that these don’t have to chill. My favorite recipe from the New York Times recommends 48-72 hours of chilling. Sometimes you just want a dang cookie now!
I love these types of videos because I get so many ideas from them!!! My Mom used to make hamsalad this time of year and I forgot about it... thanks for the inspo!!!
Thank you so much for this video! I have gotten away from my weekend meal prep and it makes my weekdays so much harder! We are also eating so much more unhealthy. I love the idea of that cookbook and have ordered it on amazon. Thanks again for this video, it has given me the inspiration to get back to being more organized!
Hi Jen! I've been binging all of your videos (even though I need to be studying for finals, i'm a rising senior in college) Love ur videos and how candid you are!
I can’t tell you how many times a day I look to see if you have posted a new video!!! Also....EEK...you are almost to 100,000 subscribers! I’m so excited for you! 💕 Kim
So happy to see your name pop up tonight. My husband got laid off on Weds and we spent ALL day trying to get signed up for unemployment. It is sooo hard to get into the site because of sk many trying to get in also. Was happy you made ham spread. My hubby has been asking for it. Lots of good recipes.
Hi Jen. Just wanted to say you look fabulous. I loved all the recipes you shared this week. I am definitely going to try the carrot fries and the picked carrots as well. My dad will love those. Stay safe and well and have a great new week.
Church lady ham salad sandwiches with the crusts cut off are my faaaaaaave! I make ham salad with relish too. Thanks for the reminder, I have leftover ham in my freezer...
I would love to see some of your favorite summer salad recipes. Summer is coming soon, and I love salads for lunch at work. Btw, I thought the added clips in this video were hilarious! 😂🤣😂
Fleischsalat is a german "bologna" salad but german bologna isn't anything similar to american bologna. It's quite delicious and very common in Germany. Now I want some
Greetings from Melbourne Australia. I also "prepped" chocolate cookies last week. One batch with white and dark chocolate and another chocolate (using some cocoa) with chocolate and macadamias. Basically using whatever was in my pantry. I now feel the need to try your recipe. We are moving into winter here and although the weather has beautiful up to now, its dropping to about 39F and up 55F (we use Celsius so had to convert). I'm teaching from home and so is my husband due to ISO. I'm sure we are getting fatter by the minute! Coffee and cookie, would never do that if I was at school! Made a big batch of ANZAC biscuits for Anzac day on Saturday (like a rolled oat cookie) so yummy and gave some to my neighbours and dropped some to one of our sons who has his own house 10 minutes away. Love to cook, but need to share the calories..I'm mean the love :-) I always look forward to your videos Thank you. Take care. Stay safe. xx
I got a Korean beef recipe from Mandy in the Making and it is soooooo good! I make it all the time. It's super simple. You should try that one and she recommends making 3 times the sauce but I make 5 times the sauce! Its a hit with my family!!!
Meal prep requests: beef fajitas, crab rangoons, egg rolls, and I really want you to make pretzel bites with beer cheese dipping sauce. That’s just a few of my requests. Lol I’ll try and space them out so you aren’t overwhelmed 😂
You adding video clips to your video reminds of Christine at Frugal Fit Mom, and seeing Christine use an oxo salad spinner reminds me of you! And I think cookies count as meal prep.
Hi jen... For the meatloaf. I use ground turkey. Do you think I could do the same ingredients? Wasnt sure if the ground turkey would make it to dry( less oil) . Its been a while since I did a meatloaf and it was a disaster! I wasnt really a seasoned cooker back then. Not that I am now but I give all the credit to your videos. Prepping, cleaning the produce, recipes. Its helped me tremendously. My family has noticed too. Great meal prep once again. Definitely going to make the taco bake too! Maybe do a recipes your grandma did/shared with you. Or some of your favorites growing up 💖💖💖
I've done meatloaf with two pounds ground turkey and one pound ground lean beef. It turns out okay. I've never tried an all turkey meatloaf, so not sure if it would be too dry.
Hey jenn new subscriber I love your videos.cookies look good. Question there were spring rolls or dumplings you buy from walmart. What's the name. I was trying to find the video.thx gloria
Gosh! First time I’ve been able to comment. Like the idea of cook once, eat all week. Jen makes it look so easy & fun. I’m trying, ok? Unfortunately, my sweet tooth got the better of me this morning & I baked a coffee cake. That counts as breakfast, right?
You look so pretty with your hair like that ! I cannot wait to try all of these recipes though i do not eat ground beef so will sub ground turkey! Greetings from a grandma in RI
OH MY GOD. that clip of me HAHAHAHAHAHA
My mom has my great grandmas hand crank grinder. I love some ham salad.
YAAAASSSSSS on including Zach!
Still have my mom’s hand grinder and yes we used to make ham salad and roast beef salad. It was always a big deal to clean thoroughly and fully dry. Great memories.
Jen- you are getting me through quarantine in NY with a husband working from home (grrr) and 2 kiddos 🙌🏻 Love you!
Thank God a video from Jen! I literally just cried with joy, things are stressful here and she is my happy place. 🙂
You have really inspired my journey to waste less food!! I have been freezing all the things and it’s life changing!! Thank you!
I have that book and am so happy with it! 99% of the recipe books I buy don’t get used but this is a repeat book. Her roasted whole chicken weeks are my favorite. Easy and doable for beginner meal preppers.
My two RUclips worlds combined with you and Zach. I'm crying I loved it so much
Ahhhhhh Theres Jen meal prepping. My world feels less weird now🌈

Totally enjoyed visiting while you cooked. Thanks!
I still use the old fashion grider for both ham and bologna salad. I put pickle and egg in both along with celery and onion
Both my grandmother and mother made ham spread when I was growing up. I mentioned this to my husband and he grimaced - I am looking forward to making this spread and those cookies. Thank you!

IF, you did a “Mini Series” on Cook Once Eat All Week...I’d watch!!🌷 OR...any cookbook for that matter!!
I waited all weekend for a new video. I happened to wake up at 3am and checked my phone for the time and there it was my notification of your video. Guess who is not going back to bed now lol
Yes!!! Just the video i needed for the night!! Love your meal preps💜💜
Jen, you could always use a blender if you don't have a food processor and pulse it a few times as long as you keep an eye on it.

Omg You’re almost close to 100,000 girl I am going to be so excited and I know you are too I wanted you to get to 100,000 people!
Those cookies looked perfect. I do prep cookies by flash freezing them on a cookie sheet in the freezer. then I store them in a ziplock frozen.
I've never thought of doing carrot fries, I'm definitely trying that. The Korean beef bowls looked really good, too. Thanks for more great ideas! ❤

If you have an air fryer, you can ‘fry’ them in there. I have and they were DELICIOUS.
I want to eat all of this 😊 The ham salad part was hysterical! Nice to see a video from you! ❤
I thought the same thing while watching Zachary Michaels video too! Grew up with it and still make it. I actually have my grandmas table clamped grinder (but use my food processor). My favorite growing up was made with left over roast beef. And always with dill relish!!!

I love anything that makes dinner decisions and cooking easier. I ordered the book!
We’ve made the same weeks. My husband loves the carrot fries.. funny how a different shape made all the difference.
I was loving the Zachary Michael clips! You got me watching him and I watch ALL of his videos! 😆
Another great video jen! Thank you for helping us all stay sane during this crazy time, you make me feel like I'm hanging out with a friend! XO
I’ve always called it ground bologna, and I like it with miracle whip and sweet relish, I’ve never tried ham salad but I’m sure it’s good.
Automatically clicked thumbs up for the Zach clips! 😁
Love the insertion of Zachary’s clips. Too funny! I grew up eating ham salad too! 🤘🏼
I watch your videos every morning and it helps get me moving and out the door... weird but true! P.S. IM GETTING THIS BOOK!

Another great video Jen! Thanks

I love your meal prep videos, you are the queen. I add a box of vanilla pudding to my chocolate chip cookies to keep them soft
Thank you so much for this video! I have gotten away from my weekend meal prep and it makes my weekdays so much harder! We are also eating so much more unhealthy. I’m 60 and have always been weird about baking! Always Have to use a wooden spoon and mix by hand.
Plus, I don’t have a KitchenAid!
Love this meal prep idea and the clips of Zachary were a perfect fit 😂
So happy to see your name pop up tonight. My husband got laid off on Weds and we spent ALL day trying to get signed up for unemployment. Thanks Jen !
Hi Jen. Just wanted to say you look fabulous. I loved all the recipes you shared this week. I am definitely going to try the carrot fries and the picked carrots as well. My dad will love those. Stay safe and well and have a great new week.
This cookbook looks great. Have you made all the recipes in it yet? Are there any you don't like?
I’d love instant pot and air fryer meal tips, recipes.
The Ham Salad reminds me of the Underwood Ham Spread we used to buy in the 1960’s , I am sure yours is much better then what I remember.
Church lady ham salad sandwiches with the crusts cut off are my faaaaaaave! I make ham salad with relish too. Thanks for the reminder, I have leftover ham in my freezer...
I'm a proud member of the Salad Spinner Sisters Club 🙋🥗😂
Hi Jen! 🙋🏼♀️ great video! I was looking into buying the "cook once eat all week" cookbook and now that you reviewed it I'm gonna buy it for sure! 😉
Those cookies look amazing
I would love to see some of your favorite summer salad recipes. Summer is coming soon, and I love salads for lunch at work. Btw, I thought the added clips in this video were hilarious! 😂🤣😂
I ordered that cook book and it should be coming this week, I’m excited to try the recipes
All these dinners look delicious 😋. I am going to try them all 🥰
Love you and Zach so much . Both of your content is amazing ❤️
Great job Jen! Chocolate chip cookies with a cold glass of milk is a complete balanced meal 🍪 😂❤️😊👍😋

The clips of Zach were hilarious. The Taco Casserole & chocolate chip cookies look great
This all looks delicious! You **have to** try the Doubletree 🍪 recipe. It's amazing and tastes just like the cookies at the hotel.
We made those cookies again with crushed Hershey's Cookies & Cream bar. Might be even better!

Hi ! Your videos are great ! Always inspires me to make something! Today it is a brown sugar pound cake lol!
Try ham salad on pumpernickel or prairie bread 😋 I use to make it years ago in my late teens early 20’s. It was really good.
You adding video clips to your video reminds of Christine at Frugal Fit Mom, and seeing Christine use an oxo salad spinner reminds me of you! And I think cookies count as meal prep.
This was an awesome meal prep! Thanks for sharing, Jen. 😊 I would seriously eat anything you make. Even the ham salad! Ha!
Great video-thanks for sharing.
Omg what a coincidence! 😳🥰I was looking for a good chocolate chip recipe, so I can bake some for my cousin who is getting out of surgery

I was just watching one of your other meal prep videos! Happy you uploaded tonight! 💜
Cookies look great xx
Oh thank God you posted. I'm bored silly.
