someone im seeing recently has seizures. i had no idea he would have them so often, ive seen him have two already. its so scary and sad knowing he has to deal with them this often. im doing everything i can to learn what i can do and how i can help him because i care so much about him !
It's great to hear that you are looking to support someone with their epilepsy. And you're right sometimes seizures can be scary to see. You might find it helpful to look at our online course called 'What to do when someone has a seizure' learn.epilepsy.org.uk/what-to-do-when-someone-has-a-seizure/ This shows you how you can help the person you are seeing. It could also be helpful to speak to a member of our helpline team on our helpline freephone 0808 800 5050.
Ya can’t really do anything when someone goes into seizure. You just have to move stuff out the way as the person can hit themselves on things if they fall to the floor. and make sure their breathing doesn’t become restricted. If the seizure last more than 5 minutes or has seizures one after the other then it’s time to call 999
Awwww, bless her. Even though I'm not diagnosed with Epilepsy, I can't imagine how traumatic it must be for the person suffering seizures. I'm 15 years old and I know just how it feels. I would give her a hug after the seizure recovery. Cya!😎
I had one SEZUIRE where i wandered into the street and my friends who have them to made a circle around me till it was over. Years before I had one and fell off the bus 🚍 and fell into the fire hitride and 911 was called and hurt my back 🔙 AND I had one of painful muscle spasms in my back and a fracture after i fell. Cindy Beck was there.
Let me take out a moment in my busy life to send a thank you note to a very amazing doctor who is full of love and commitment,Dr ogie is truly a blessing to the world thanks for curing my epilepsy..
Always in the morning and feel like I been shot in the face until I go to bed at night. Aftermath headaches are the problem. Constantly thumping and to move my head with a migraine is like someone is twisting a knife in my skull.
Remind me of Cameron voice because he died from a seizure in his sleep we will arm him very much. He is part of the attendant movie. He was 20 years old when he had a seizure in his sleep he will be marry me much. RIP Cam win I love you.
If the seizure lasts longer than 5 minutes you need to call for an ambulance. We also recommend you call an ambulance if one seizure follows another without the person recovering in between or if they are badly injured during the seizure.
@@danielledewitt1 I understand your point, but when my sister has this she makes some scary noises for a few secs and this has happened for her only during sleep.
From someone with epilepsy I can tell that the recover is defenitely not like that. We do not have oxygen in our body, your lungs can not breath, so we do not Wake up laughing, istead, we become desperate to breath so you need to calm us down and saying to calmily breath. And not eveeryone get that convulsive movements!!

I was with a person who had a grand ma seizure that lasted over ten minutes no joke.
I hope you phoned 999.
Dang. I hope called emergency services 9-11 or 999 wherever you are. That’s serious
@@jilla-dr9hu You know 999 was called as I stated so.
10 minutes is definitely a real emergency - it's twice as long as what doctors say is a medical emergency
@@RaraRemi_312 Well said.
What if someone have this type seizure but last more than two minutes

Where is the epileptic cry?
What do you mean?
@@danielledewitt1 it is mentioned during a tonic clonic seizure the person will cry or make some unusual sounds or growl.
@@iamdee3034 We are unconscious when we have them. So we can’t cry. There will be some noise as our breatheing goes a bit funny.
