- THE ROCKET - Shane's version of a fish, or junk wave board. Orginally shaped as a 5'3" for Shane's young son Noah by former ...Lost shaper and pro surfer Noah Budroe. The board features a wide, forward outline with round forgiving rails, flat deck and a wide "Rocket" tail. The rocker is extremely low in the entry (for instant speed) with an exaggerated kick in the tail for tight arcs out of turns. This board actually has as much tail rocker as any board in our line. Coupled with a deep concave throughout and straightened stringer line, the board is a small to average wave all-arounder. It can be effectively ridden 4" to 10" shorter, 1/4 thinner and just slightly wider than your normal short board, without sacrificing any of the carve or drive. This thing has to be ridden to be believed.
Surfer: Shane Beschen

These boards are so sick!
yea.. I got a friends buckled 7'2'' gun. He had it custom made with like a fuller nose so I got to chop it done. and rounded out the longer roundpin that it had. never saw this video before, but for the most part, it came out looking a lot like the rocket. not as clean and flawless but still a fun little egg to ride.
i have the 5'9" version of this board and its soooooooooooooo nicee
no i am 5'10 and 160lbs and i ride a 5'3.
the board doesn't matter, it's the person riding it. and the width and thickness makes the 5'2 seem like a 6'0
have a 5'2" rocket 19 and a quarter by 2 and 5/16 sooooo fun best board ever u dont really need another board besides this one use it in big waves, small waves works perfect in all size waves.
Shit..most of you guys are right: 5'2"???!!!
Insane at best! I stand 5'10 1/2" to be precise about it. Imagine me on a 5'2"...HOLY SHIT! Ha-ha-ha...a skimboard! Love that comment!
I would go for this board... super fun in any conditions and even fun when it's big... but definently don't take my advice
How small a board could a 6'1", 180lb guy go with and still have the board float him reasonably well?
does anyone know where i can watch this clip with sound????
i want that board!!!!!
im 5'10 and weigh 150 lbs and i just bought a 5'6" (but im also only 15 soo my weight to size porportion may be different to yours)
hey guys im 5'7 and weigh 60kg and ride 5'11! should i go for a 5'5????? please help me!!!!!!!!!
im looking to make my own board :)
that looks hard to ride?
@cycracer
It's not bad, but you could definitely ride shorter. Honestly I think it's whatever you're comfortable with.
On a side note, DAMN YOU'RE SKINNY.
