    Are Ramps subject to LOLER?

Hi Karen. Although our ramps are height adjustable, they do not ‘lift’ anything during operation and only act as a bridge between two heights, so are not subject to LOLER. They are however subject to PUWER.

Thanks that really helpful, I recently worked on a site that applied LOLER to the ramps 'due to the fixing chains' which I thought unusual. Your explanation clarifies.

there are plenty companies that producing ramps in Turkey. Why are you buying a platform from UK? if you have so much money send me. don't waste your money to buying an UK branded loading ramp.

Your going to cripple someone with the way the retractable ramp version tows. The thing was getting ready to fall before you moved the fork lift when you unhooked the tow. Could easily crush someone between the fork and the ramp. Your "stand" you used to prop it up prior to hooking it to the fork lift was a joke as well. Be honest now - how many close calls or injuries have you had developing this thing? How hard would it be to engineer some solid and reliable mounted stands incorporated into the ramp? How hard would it be to incorporate a hand crank lift? You spent a lot of money making this thing, now spend a little bit to make it safe, reliable, and easy to use without chopping off people's toes or crushing someone's legs.
