Massida has spent more time at this weight class than the 61s recently. I’m sure this will be his regular class after Paris. Maybe he’ll have more success at it than the Olympics.
Serious. I had to go look at WC start list after your comment. Couple interesting items. Top starter at 96 is an unretired Rostami with a 390 total but his country listed is KOS?? Misprint? Kosovo? It’s not Kingdom of Saudi Arabia they’re KSA. Also Lasha is listed but as a reserve. Interesting.
@@JohnDoherty-dl2fz nope per Brian Oliver he got a Kosovo passport and everything but their may be issues since Iran has to sign off on his release. Though Iran hasn't done so since they have diplomatic relations with Kosovo. He may not be released in time for worlds so he may compete later at Euro's next year. Crazy to think about.
Have to say I really enjoy the commentary from the two guys here , your knowledge and the way you articulate is a pleasure to listen to. Unfortunately I don’t know your names but keep up the good work 👍
Mr JKostyal. You are certainly correct. The UAE lifter is quite outclassed in this comp. I guess the IWF thinking on this matter is they want to increase the number of countries that participate as quickly as possible which means in non Olympic categories where there is no B or C sessions you’re going to have situations like this. As for myself who was only a decent regional US lifter, just under national quality, many years ago I don’t mind seeing these guys because I can pat myself on the back and tell myself that I could beat some of the C and D quality international lifters.
It's so nice to see athletes competing for medals instead of taking hail mary shots at olympic spots.
The olympics are so sad with their restriction

They do not have the rights to broadcast the Olympics. The Olympic's official channel is where your gonna find them eventually (hopefully).
@@SomeSeriousWeight u can rewatch them on the Olympics app alr
The Thai delegation didn't bring the Frog this time. I'm kinda disappointed...

how on earth did Munther get in this competition
No B session obviously. Lesser lifters have to lift somewhere.
@@JohnDoherty-dl2fz this guy is very very amateur.. he somehow is competing in the IWF world cup.........?

He is decent, its just that he is not on the same level as the other athletes.
