Yea I easily think he could have been up there with Stallone & Schwarzenegger cause he made great movies imo back then. I mean he was in Rocky with Stallone but NEVER seemed to be able to jump as high as those guys despite bringing the total package with him.
another fantastic buddy movie with a fantastic dynamic between Brandon Lee and Dolph. \o/ Have seen it only once, many many years ago but i still look back at it with fond memories. A really fun flick that still feels totally 80s.
Showdown is an amazing movie and criminally underrated. The beauty of Showdown is that could’ve worked just as well if not better if the roles of Dolph and Brandon were reversed.
Red Scorpion is definitely a lost but not forgotten gem. Would love to see the JoBlo crew tackle Attack Force Z (1982), too. Great cast w/Mel Gibson and Sam Neil. I know the TAB guys did it on their “Fighting on Film” series.
I haven't seen this for years. I loved Dolph abd all of his late 80s early 90s action flicks but I remember my Nan, RIP loved this one. Thanks for the great nostalgia
What ? A movie with Dolph Lundgren shirtless and I never heard of it? Oh my, this man is totally beautiful ! ! 😍 Thanks, I will try to find to view it.
This is a great movie. It’s in a long line of great 80’s action movies where it’s not about the plot, it’s about the body count and entertainment value. It goes right up there with Commando and Rambo 2&3 Now do Dolph’s Army of One (Joshua Tree)
I finally got to seeing Red Scorpion and enjoyed watching it as it was when I bought the dvd\blu-ray combo pack that came out a few years ago. One could call this the one that actually makes you Root for Drago.
How do you miss mentioning that Joseph Zito and Tom Savini teamed up again, then the producers being surprised by the violence from the director of Friday The13th Pt4: The Final Chapter?
I just had another thought why not do a John Rambo Red scorpion crossover where the two are long retired special forces veterans who find themselves embroiled in some kind of international plot and they have to go and kick ass together I know they're both getting old but that would make it much better seeing as how they're a lot more grizzled and tired of everything going on in the world
One of my all time favorite films. and the punisher, I don’t know why they keep remaking it. 🤦♀️ 🤷♀️ ❤❤❤ thank for this video since people hate on it so much 😢
I still have my german open matte DVD of this flick. Sadly it's cut to oblivion and has no gory scenes anymore, It's the first time i've seen in this video what was actually going on during the torture scene in prison and this arm getting shot off. lol yeah such 80s action movies always had a hard time in germany....
That's a funny thing about American movies... they always say "Spetnaz" (which means SpecOps) but they never say which one...Army? Navy? Police? ФСБ? ОМОН? ВДВ? 😑
4:39 The one in the movie is make-believe, but it's based on the real-world AO-63 which used a "tandem" or "duplex" system. It was basically two AK-74s spliced together, both firing alternately, thereby doubling the overall cyclic rate. What they were really going for a 2-round hyper-burst. It was similar in concept to some of the tandem/duplex jobbers the Germans came up with in WW1. During the "Abakan" trials (comparable to the West's "Advanced Combat Rifle" program), it lost to Gennadiy Nikonov's AN-94, along with other experimental rifles like the AEK-971. 7:24 That's not how you do a McMillan Tilt.
Red Scorpion is definitely one of Dolph Lundgren’s better films with superb action sequences and that ‘Lewis gun on steroids’ rifle he uses during the climactic battle is just the mutt’s nuts! That said, as terminally unfunny ‘comedy’ sidekicks go, M Emmet Walsh’s washed up journalist, Ferguson, has to be up there with worst of ‘em. The abrupt cut that transitions from the rebels resolving to attack the Soviet base to suddenly being inside it (the opening of the battle occurring completely off camera) is weird as well. Perhaps the money had run out by that point requiring a few corners to be cut! 😁
I've never understood bar scenes where a wimpy-looking jerk picks a fight with a huge, muscle-bound hero. The most recent example of this was from Amazon Prime's "Reacher", where the titular Reacher takes about thirty seconds to fully stand up and accost his detractor, due to him being about 8 feet tall. 😂😂
Clearly you didn't read the article you made reference to because it paints there intervention in a positive way. But Americans gonna propaganda any way
This movie was literally supported and partly financed by apartheid South Africa, and was shot on location in apartheid backed Namibia, facing protests, and having to pause production after South African forces murdered several African National Congress party members. The tanks being used are South African apartheid tanks. This is literally white apartheid propaganda.
This movie along with I come in peace, Universal soldier and Men of war, was one of the most fun movies of Dolph Lundgren career
Punisher!!!
Men Of War is awesome I recommend everyone watching it, it's free on yt
Army of One/Joshua Tree!
@@interdimensionalsteve8172 Hell yeah Punisher with Dolph was awesome!!!
Yeah I think men of war was actually his best solo movie
Red Scorpion is AWESOME .
dolph lundgren is incredibly underrated, he’s my personal favorite 80s action star
Yea I easily think he could have been up there with Stallone & Schwarzenegger cause he made great movies imo back then.

فیلم عقرب سرخ دولف بازی کرده💯🙏🙏♥️
Haven't seen too many of his flicks as the lead, but "Showdown in Little Tokyo" is a favorite that gets repeated viewings.

For me,it’s my best movie action!Dolph is legend!
I remember seeing this @ Hawthorne Mall in 1989 with my Cousins.
Mall has been closed and abandoned for many years now. Brings back good memories.
I haven't seen this for years. I loved Dolph abd all of his late 80s early 90s action flicks but I remember my Nan, RIP loved this one. Thanks for the great nostalgia
Man I remember renting this VHS from my local video place on a weekend back when I was like fourteen. It was AWESOME.
Oh yeah I remember this movie. 80's 90's action.
Saw this in the Theater with my brother as a kid. I've pretty much seen all of his movies.
I love Red Scorpion. One of Dolph Lundgren's early best.
What ? A movie with Dolph Lundgren shirtless and I never heard of it? Oh my, this man is totally beautiful ! ! 😍 Thanks, I will try to find to view it.
Universal Soldier was the one I remember just as much as Rocky 4 when I was a kid. I don't recall this one, now I need to see it! Thanks y'all!
"Are we having fun yet?!" :D
I just watched it on Tubi
I just got the VHS Video Tape of Red Scorpion for my Collection!! 😁😁🔥🔥
I remember this movie when I was a teenager.
I loved this film as a kid....
most awesemsest movie I saw in early 90s as a kid. Yo we wanted to hit steel doors like the prison scene haha
This is a great movie. It’s in a long line of great 80’s action movies where it’s not about the plot, it’s about the body count and entertainment value. It goes right up there with Commando and Rambo 2&3
Now do Dolph’s Army of One (Joshua Tree)
One of my favorite Lungren's films. I got the Blu-ray a couple of years ago and it looks great.
I have to admit this one flew under my radar and I never saw. Now I will keep my eye out for it. Thanks
Great action movie. Seen it several times as a kid. Even have a HD copy on itunes.
Had this movie poster in my room. My brother some how got his hands on odd movie posters back in the day
I found an imperfection on Dolph Lundgren. It’s insane, because his imperfection is perfect.
Love this movie, have it on Blu-ray
I finally got to seeing Red Scorpion and enjoyed watching it as it was when I bought the dvd\blu-ray combo pack that came out a few years ago. One could call this the one that actually makes you Root for Drago.
Great underrated movie!
Thundergun! No man left behind!!!
I'm going to have to check this movie out!
How do you miss mentioning that Joseph Zito and Tom Savini teamed up again, then the producers being surprised by the violence from the director of Friday The13th Pt4: The Final Chapter?
childhood favourite .
This was basically The Angolan Bush War in film.
Red Scorpion along with Punisher, Dark Angel, Showdown in Little Tokyo and Joshua Tree really good Dolph Lundgren lead action movies.
dark angel was good
The Silent Trigger is one of my favorite Lundgren movie. Very underrated film.
An underrated movie
Never heard of his movie, but it looks awesome
OMG I totally forgot about this movie! LMFAO awesome video
I dunno, I love Dolph's hair in this!
Great, More Dolph reviews please 🙏
I Come In Peace demands it’s due.

"Can I have a band aid?"
For me Dolph is the comic book accurate Punisher
??? You don´t know much then...Ray Stevenson was the best Punisher and closest to the comics.
Please review "Silent trigger".
He would have been the perfect X-Men villain for the movies Omega Red.
I did enjoy this movie a lot. It was a LOT better than Red Sonja thats for sure. HEY! I love that haircut. :(
Rambo/Red Scorpion crossover now!
In real life Dolph served in the Swedish Marine Corps. and has a Masters in Chemical Engineering.
One of my all time favorite films. and the punisher, I don’t know why they keep remaking it. 🤦♀️ 🤷♀️ ❤❤❤ thank for this video since people hate on it so much 😢
I don't remember if I watched it back then, but I probably did 😉
Imagine if they had decided to make that Punisher movie R-rated.
Can You make a video about the 80's Soviet Rambo, Soviet la respuesta, thanks!
Look up Dolph and Grace Jones photo shoot. That's something most people don't know about him.
I am Spetznats!

Dolph Lundgren always played the Russian, but he is Sweden.
@2:53: He's not 7 foot (213cm) Lundgren is 196cm which is 6.4 still tall but not huge.
it was obviously an exaggeration for comic effect.
@@jonstiffer4994 You're probably right and I am a dummy for not noticing that, sorry.
Was there any 80's action movie that didn't have Brion James? LOL.
Simply awesome111 ❤
What so hard in pronouncing the Speznaz coorectly, where did the "S" go? It's spetSnaz in pronounciation
It’s a bit like Avatar, but on Earth
I have this movie on digital versatile disk lol
A criminally underrated Rambo clone.
Rambo first blood but it's Ivan Drago.
All I know is….. I LOVE flicks directed by the Friday The 13th The Last Chapter Director!
3:04 that's that fake doctor from season four of house.
Is this movie on Netflix I need to watch it if is there please

Dolph has a lot of bad ass movies red scorpion showdown in little Tokyo the punisher universal soldier.
Joshua Tree (1993) , it's a John Woo homage/ inspiration
@@cartoonfan959 ya that's ones cool to
Cant believe the hair...
When are you guys going to cover gladiator from 1992?
He looks like MGK in the thumbnail
I haven't seen Red Scorpion but I seen The Punisher, Dark Angel and Showdown in Little Toyko.
much better Dolph action flick JOSHUA TREE (1993)

Basically Rambo III but instead of Rocky Balboa it's Ivan Drago.
سلام لطفا فیلم عقزب قرمز رو چجوری بایدگیردوستان خواهشن راهنمای کنید❤
But Swaziland and South Africa are two separate countries...
Actually, his first 5-6 movies were ... Good. Or at the very least, decent. It's a shame he never really had his own solo breakthrough...
❤❤❤
So cite so bad
I don't care dolf❤ I'm for you❤
Fin y dos the actor is scorpio in real life 😊
1:59 that hasnt changed much honestly
Looked english that 🦂
Nobody pays to see B movies anymore
Fucking brilliant
Yes! And now imagine seeing it as an 9 year old boy on pirated VHS in former socialistic Czechoslovakia. Half miracle half revelation :)
1:51 Where in Africa?! There's 54 countries there!
Later it mentions South Africa in text form :) I assume there.
Red Scorpion takes place in the country adjacent to the one that launched those MiG-28s in Top Gun.
I've done it...
