It is pretty impressive. But I need to say that it sounds like a sampled sound, so it could be any lenght. Maybe I am wrong, probably only a concert can tell, if she can keep that note sooooo long, but you need REALLY big lungs for that :-) update: I am convienced, she did it all by herself. Impressive!
No she didn't just get into this to put her son into college. To get this good takes YEARS of perseverance, dedication, and lots of depression from all the rejection you inevitably go through as you try to make it without selling your soul to Hollywood. So either she was planning for her son's education while he was in diapers or she got into music because that's her career passion.

She said that that is the longest scream of her career thus far (duh). She said that it made her really dizzy, and that she almost passed out. I think it was with Caity Babs. The interview.

I had a lot of emotions building within me when I approached the song for the first time and after years of holding it all in I finally got to let it out! I've watched this video probably 50 times & I take back the comment I made 6 days ago about wishing this song had more of a groove metal/funk rhythm to it. There's method behind their madness. The instrumentals are like the thrumming of a hive, a growing legion, and a climactic explosion of wrath. I understand & am awestricken. Subliminally hypnotic & very awesome. Maria is truly an artist. I love her music and it keeps getting better and better! I almost had a chance to see her in Nola but sadly the concert got cancelled. In this moment is definitely my favorite band of all time and this is why! She is a musical genius!

Mind you, that's while she has all that smoke and stuff flying in her face and lungs. I don't doubt she able to do 20 if not the entire 30 if she's in a studio recording and not having to move around and preform.
At Orlando's kiss of death tour she was in fact able to hold the scream for 28 seconds without taking a breath or break truly an honor to get to see them perform

I read in an interview I found online that this song was written due to the pandemic and being locked inside led to a lot of pent up anger and rage, thus, a lot of screams and the long growl. Its adulthood. 20s is young adult, like the bridge between teenage years and adulthood. Like when a child goes from babyness to being a child, the in between is toddler. I read in an interview I found online that this song was written due to the pandemic and being locked inside led to a lot of pent up anger and rage, thus, a lot of screams and the long growl. I wasn't sure about it at first, but I have had the song stuck in my head since it dropped 2 days ago. I can't wait for the album to be released! 🖤

This song and music video hit SO different. I absolutely love ITM’s other albums, but this one is going to be another level. I’m beyond excited and proud of them. The mixing is great as well, I love when they center around Maria but when Randy, Chris, Travis, and Kent are all doing something that can still be heard. LOVE IT!

Saw them yesterday. Literally took my breath away. Show was surreal, her voice pierced through everything but was soft at the same time.
Just seen them live in Moline with Motionless in White last night. OMG their live show is phenomenal with lights, smoke, props, dancers, and the while 9. Was like watching this music video in person. Absolute visionaries.

@@ali-karimi1That's part of why almost every scream you've heard in music has been engineered to some degree, You still have to be able to scream to make it sound good though... compression, overdrive and multi tracks can only do so much... this isn't pop with auto tune.
