I think the nature appreciation moments are underrated. It's important to recognize and appreciate the natural surroundings of the courses you play, and I'm always glad to see what interesting things appear. Bugs and birds today, water another day, cool trees or plants another--nature is a huge part of disc golf and most don't recognize that to the extent they should.

You are the best disc golfer in the world when you are just playing for fun. When you’re relaxed. Your putting is such a simple clean stroke when you’re on these videos and you don’t take a long time with them. Just go up and bang em like they don’t matter cause they don’t. None of them do. It’s just a game, a game you play better than anyone. So stop trying to compete, just go play. Love your channel.
You miss putts on tournaments because you play more with your head and on Vlogs you play more with your heart. You are at level where your biggest opponent is yourself.

So glad to see more abandoned golf courses turned into disc golf courses. Penfield, NY near Rochester, has a new disc golf course going in on abandoned Shadows Pines golf course. Heck, even 9 hole golf courses are plenty long for an 18 hole disc golf course. We have a shooting range next to Clay Park West in Clay, NY near Syracuse NY
Thank you for that Simon, enjoyed it as always, glad you still have some love for the none Patreon‘s, and give us some disc golf love videos, and great luck at the USGC! Thank you! That’s going to be a great fun course when it’s all put in place. Your the best!!! Thank you always…
They're building one of these down near me in Northern Kentucky, turning an abandoned state park golf course into a disc golf course. Can't wait for it to open.
I think the true "disc golf mecca" will have all of the outdoor things people love - fishing, cabins, club house, driving range, gun range, hunting grounds (winter only when disc golf is closed), and plenty of other attractions with the primary focus being a championship level disc golf course that could host a pro tour event.
Love your vids. Hey, FYI... I just started playing myself and play an in-door putting league with hall-of-famer and disc gold founder, Jim Palmeri PDGA #23. He's 88 years old and still playing!
So have Matt caddy for you and film your tournament rounds. That way your putting will be on point! There are two courses, one short and one long, but both challenging. Beautiful course with many nature appreciation moments. My understanding is that it's run by the North Cove Disc Golf and Social Club in Marion, NC. It's not too far from USDGC -- about 2-1/2 hours away. You should try that course!
I played an abandoned disc golf course near Cable, Wi at a place called "Telemark". It was a ski resort that went under yet the disc golf course was still up. Asked a dude if I could play and he had no problem with it. It was certainly a different experience.

Fun to watch you throw even on a not ready track and I'm no psychologist but my take on why you dont putt that like that in tournaments is simply the pressure of having to make that putt rather than being ok with just potentially missing a vlog putt...the fix? Every putt you attempt from now on is a vlog putt, just look into camera and say 'lets see if we can make it', that's it!
Simon when you make it to Texas next you have to try and checkout Circles Edge in Terrell. They are all in on DG as well, on-site pro shop and restaurant. Course has everything you could really ask for......well at least once they have their beer license
Your putts are AMAZING! (so are your cats). Answer to your question: Read "A Soprano on Her Head" for your answer. Or the sport-oriented "The Inner Game of Tennis." Everyone is correct--you are relaxed and having fun. Your head is too much in the game in tourneys.
I love the ideas but as someone who is in Maine (state is pretty much entirely pay to play) I think 10-12 is too much for a round. Here's a free idea for this and any other disc golf course: Install cameras like Disney does on the log ride which take photos of all the players on a particular hole or holes, then sell the videos to anyone who did well. Kind of like an "Instant Follow Flight" thing. People would pay big for that.
