- Eddie's Nissan R34 Skyline GT-R is the first car to have it's level 299 cap removed officially in the latest Major March Update. It is available for those who have NFS 2015 and NFS Payback. Showcasing it's nearly perfect stats, 1044hp performance and gameplay in 3 offline events and 2 online events. Unfortunately, the LV399 cap is only available for Eddie's Skyline, the normal one is still at LV299.
Played with keyboard and manual transmission.

Eddie's Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R Performance review:
So our first car that has the LV299 cap removed and it's only available for those who played NFS 2015. Pretty shitty. But have Ghost Games make the car in par with the top cars? Or modders like Enksx1 have done a better job in his version?
Unfortunately, the car is disappointing, both in terms of handling and acceleration. Engine acceleration and NOS power wise is actually good but not amazing. Then comes the handling.
The R34 feels very heavy in the drifting, and it doesn't have a large drift angle. So quite often you need to use handbrake because the car can't get into a large drift angle in time for sharp turns. I had way too many instances where using normal brake drift, I ended up understeering into the wall.
Then there is the car's overall cornering speed. As the drift angle gets large, the car also have quite a lot of speed loss. Of course one of it's best redeeming handling characteristic is it's drift recovery speed. It's quite strong. Come to think of it, it feels similar to the Murcielago LP670-4 and it happened to get a very similar time on Mountain Run.
How does it compare with 911 RSR and Regera:
No match at all against the top 4 race spec cars. It's overall drifting is just heavy compared to the 911 RSR and Regera and it simply doesn't have both the accel or the handling to compete.

Oh it's great to see the king back in action. In games with all these super tech heavy cars, it makes me happy seein somethin like this. Like back when NFS was tight city driving and the fastest stock car was a Mustang or a Porche Cayman. Of course I can understand that they can't just repeat the old games over and over, but it's nice to reminisce.

I'm so glad they actually seemed to rework the transmission for high level cars. 8 gears in say an Evo is just obnoxious, and renders 1st and even 2nd gear useless.

It's handling isn't that bad actually if you have high (>8.0) braking and turning response max to the right, but yes, sometimes it feels heavy. I don't see me using this car in speedlists.

It actually made my time faster because it helped me get a better line at the shortcut. I kept getting 1:18 in Mountain run with the Skyline.

I honestly just wish the whole upgrading system could be changed. Not just the whole cards thing, but I want ALL of the cars to have an equal performance potential. The upgrading system should be almost similar to Underground 2 or 2015.

I just got this game (deluxe edition) and I got Eddies skyline. In my opinion, this car is really helpful in getting them races out the way earlier on in the game until you can afford to buy or upgrade a car to its maximum
Oh gosh the NFS World theme song. I know it's sorta back again but that song always got me hard because it reminded me of the day the servers shut down. I know it isn't a great game but it had a special place in my heart

In video games, it is completely up to developers to decide which cars are strong, and which are weak. You can already see that with the R35.
+劉崧涵 I already know that but you didn't get my point at all. The devs also said that the Eddie's Skyline performance set will also become a thing on the stock R34. Not that I want the R34 to be a OP car, but when a 399 car turns out to be worse than the 299 one... that sounds more illogical than everything else 😕
If a car receive an update, that generally means that it's current issues have been worked on, and also by rebalancing it. in this case that looks more like a downgrade if you ask me

Does anyone else agree with me that Paybacks soundtrack sucks ass in comparison to early Need For Speeds? Hell, even the soundtrack of Need For Speed World was better.
RIP NFS World, you will be missed. I was there in the games final moments. I remember the car I was driving, and where I was when it finally died: the Lamborghini Reventon Fortune Edition, and I was on the road that looked like an 8 in Rockport.

I legit thought the Skyline would be good for drifting so I bought it for Mac. Turns out I was wrong because I can't even drift without using the handbrake. I ended up selling it and replacing it with the 350z. Is it because it's 4WD? Idk. The R35 and the R32 handles pretty well.
Man I was so confused as to how this guy has so much control over his driving. Now I know he uses manual transmission, but still that requires alot of practice .
I'd also appreciate them adding an M3 GT-R but this will do too. It's the most fun car ever!

These are only on the Racetrack and NFS is Illegal Street racing. And for some games they get the licence and for some they don't, GTA has no real Cars at all.

I guess I'm just disappointed then. I was expecting for it to be something better, and to make it even more fucked up, it's only for those who've played 2015. NFS 2015 wouldn't work on the my computer, plus could've made another story DLC where you can get Eddie's R34 in the end of it, instead of giving it to you for free *if* you played 2015

Finally i have Eddies Skyline back. And now it looks much more realistic. Nice. My favorite Cars in Underground1 that are not in payback are the VW Golf MK4 and the Honda Civic Coupe. At least we have the Mazda rx7.

Yes that car is also very nice. And in this game it would be much better then in 2015 because the physics in Payback are so much better.
I dont like the Nissan Fairlady. It sounds weird. And it is more a Classic Car than a Race Car. It is also an Iconic Car and many People like it. I know. But i don't like it. I would be happy when they would Delete it and give us Toyota.

They finally patched missing hoods altogether so my cars I removed the hoods on before the last patch now have hoods....so sad....my miata looked sexy without a hood :(

antonio jackson yes, Castrol Edge time trials, basically a free version of speedcross, 3 events and one of them has a new Land Rover car that's strangely not in the car list
