- Fully Upgraded Level 399 1045HP Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06 race spec gameplay for Need For Speed Payback. Showcasing it's overall performance in 3 events and 1 online race and 1 free roam race. Performance/Speed Cards and stats + live tuning are shown at the start of the video. Played with keyboard and manual transmission.

Chevrolet C6 Corvette Z06 Race Spec Performance Review:
Looks like Cross still has it. The Corvette C6 Z06's performance could almost be one of the top performing race spec cars but was ruined by Ghost Games deciding it to be Regera's little brother by giving the same handicap and their inability to tune gear ratios to suit their speed.
Straight to the point, it has good engine accel up to 200mph. NOS accel is strong but just a tad bit weaker than Aventador. It's drift is responsive but it does take a bit of time to get into angle. It has great drift recovery speed for low and medium speed corners. It's average cornering speed is high but the speed does reduce quite a lot of the angle gets too large. Basically it's a pretty strong race spec car from the time it achieved from Mountain Run.
This is where Ghost Games decided to ruin the full potential of the Corvette. First is it's gear ratio, the 5th gear is tall and the 6th is even taller which drastically affects the 200+mph acceleration. Also, the Corvette tends to behave weirdly at kerbs, hence Regera's little brother. There is a chance you may catch air, or the kerbs may ruin the mid-drifting. There are 2 multiplayer speedlist tracks which are quite kerb intensive and the Corvette is a bit unpredictable there.
The Corvette is a strong race spec car if you race on tracks without kerbs or extremely high speed tracks above 200+mph.
How does it compare with 911 RSR and Regera:
2 seconds slower than the 911 RSR in Mountain Run, while it has good handling, it's NOS acceleration is a bit weak.

Hey, I have spent a lot of time practicing Mountain Rush with my Audi V8 R10 and I just managed to get 1:44:98. :'( I returned to your Audi showcase but still is pretty difficult to reach your time. I know I will have to keep practicing but I have hope I can improve some day. Again, great video! It seems that car is one lf the powerful ones in the race spec version. :D

Ghost games apparently decided to simplify the tuning this time. You definitely don't like that, but I have to tell you it saves me much more time and effort to enjoy the game.

This car used to give me nightmares when I played Most Wanted... Now I kinda wanna drive it myself.

I have this car, and personally I don't have the same problems you have with it. I think the "catching air off curbs" problem could be because your Corvette's jump rating is so low; mine's at the 5.5 range, and only once did it ever awkwardly bounce off any curb that had a change in elevation. To me, I think it's almost as good as the RSR from a NOS acceleration and corner exit standpoint: everytime I approach those tight mountain turns and slide back to the inside on corner exit, I always get half the speed back from what I had going in, and I'm gone if I have at least half a tank of NOS at that point. I also personally believe you're understating its drift capabilities, since I find that it happily goes into a healthy drift angle with just a couple brake taps sort of like the RSR - and I've never lost much speed when I've had to increase my drift angle. If I had to rank this car from a pure acceleration/handling standpoint, it's easily a close second to the RSR IMO. No other car I've driven in the game feels quite like this Corvette - excluding the RSR, of course.
If you know what you're doing and have memorized the tracks, this car is simply unstoppable so long as you have the 10/10 NOS and high acceleration intact. Of all the speedlists I've done with this car, I've only lost one (and the only two races I've lost were in that speedlist), but that was only because I got tripped up TWICE by a-holes on the first couple of turns. Truly a hidden gem of a car if you ask me.
