Thanks, BTW I have been a member of the KC Woodworking Guild though I have lived in Texas the past few years. I have been looking online for brass of that thickness which appears to be hard to find. What was your source? Many thanks
I use veneer for the RUclips video. I use a brass shim for the AAW article. I prefer the brass shim because it is less susceptible to damage from transporting my sled back and forth from my shop to my woodturning club.
Thanks for taking the time to explain it all.
You’re welcome, Mark. Hope all is well with you.
Interesting to see if it could be scaled up for normal varied size use. The concept is intelligently simple.
Interesting concept prototype. I wonder if it could be scaled up for various sized stock.
Gary, the size of the segment sweeper will work for any segment cut on this wedgie sled. But, yes, it could be sized up if the cutoff sled was longer.

I bought the brass strips on Amazon for about $10. 12” long, .008” thick, 1”wide, 10 pieces in lot.
Are you using veneer or the brass shim mentioned in the AAW article
