    When i lived in des moines this was my fav place to bring visitors.
    That was high up. I remember taking a pic at the bottom of other side

      Yes, it's a neat spot. I do a lot of birding there and in the fall there are lots of diving ducks on the lake below the dam. Great Place!

    easiest way to prevent flooding downstream and water pouring over an emergency spillway? don't keep the lake level so damn high! seems if they kept the lake at 50% capacity (i know, not as much FUN that way, but what is a dam FOR?), there would be plenty of room for the water when it comes. but that is just me.

    We have to build a " Gopro Submarine", build to resist Spillways, Glory holes and Ploog holes.
    It's nessesery, to silence the voice in my head : " jump, come on, jump! How long do you have to hold your breath, to enjoy / survive this waterslide🤔🤣😂❓"
    You see, the submarine is Really important 😁😁😁‼️

      +Danielle Carlson Just during floods and it increased from 50% to 100% outflow in about 15 minutes while I was there.
