- AKAI MPC 2.14.0.20 THE MIXER. It's not the used by most but the mixer in the MPC 2 works really good. All the setting for Pad Mixer, Channel Mixer, SubGroups, Returns, Program Channels, etc. are all the in the mixer and since you are forced to use the software checkout the Mixer.

Doc...In all fairness, then if the purpose of the the MPC is the "Hub"/Focal Piont then ....it's not sensible to commit for an expensive unit vs getting a new Computer and accessing the 2.0/3.0 in that perspective. Personally I prefer a TRUE STANDALONE, and not worry about DRIVERS/COMPATIBILITY. MY MPC should be my MAC/WIN .Again if MPC reverts to the Legacy Concept with modernity it will sell without controversy, because it's Ol' School Headz that brings LOYALTY to Akai, the younger Generation don't worry about Hardware, They paint and paste like Michael Angelo ..no disrespect that's today's times.Akai is right just Software ,and you select if you want to play live with a Keyboard.....Peace
Controller mode gang!!! Gooood video. Most of the MPC RUclips won’t entertain the software at all

Good afternoon I currently own a MPC one plus and I’ll run it in controller mode. I just purchased mpc key 37 that i also want to run in controller mode can I use the same software that’s installed already with my key 37 and install the plug-in instruments that come with it inside the software that I have already installed a lot of plug-ins. Thanks for your time.

After finally getting into the Eco System (when MPC Beats was released) I honestly like working in the software better. Maybe it's because that's how I learned How the MPC worked and it plays nice with the PC Touchscreen too. Since the release of MPC Beats was released (during Covid) I have acquired a Few different MPC's from the 500 up to the MPC Live2 and the software is the best for Me even over other DAW's. Thanks for the upload, it (for Me) hammers home the idea of using the Software.
I started with MTV Generator then moved to Fruity Loops then Reason so even tho I've moved on to the MPC I still feel way more comfortable using the software instead of standalone.
That's my Legacy also ...Family... started with sound systems, Dj,then Mtv,to the 2000xl,til present times....in total 3 MPCs

I have an alesis vi25 keyboard with 16 MPC style pads and use the software to produce . No need for the hardware because I have the pads plus keys and get the same sound .
parametric eq was discovered here
In that case I will just stick with Mashine/Serato in Logic. Seems like pretty much the same thing.
