After driving the 2017 EX and EX-T yesterday, I went with the EX-T. The extra bang for the buck was worth it to me. The turbo brings the Civic to life quickly. The added extras are icing on the cake. I got mine in blue / black. Sweet.
@@obvinpro I've had a turbo model for over a year now (purchased 2nd hand) and no issues with oil dilution, runs great. My 2017 Honda Civic EX-T has been a thrill to drive for the past 5 years. Absolutely love all the features and the smoothness on the road! My only gripe is the AC condenser recall because many Civic models from 2016-2020 were affected. My AC stopped working during the summer of this year and it just blew in warm air. Thankfully Honda acknowledged the problem and added an extended warranty. Even after getting my condenser replaced, I'm wary that this issue might arise again because many Civic users have reported that this problem repeats itself.

Hey y’all wondering if someone can answer question I got here. I’m looking at a used 2018 Honda Civic. Here’s the catch: The rims are the EXT rims, it has dual climate control, it has heated seats, and it has Sirius radio. All this led me to believe that it was an EXT but when I open the hood it had a 2.0 L NA engine. As far as I know these are not options that were available for the EX. It’s cloth seats, manual adjusted, no fog lights although the openings are there on the bumper, there is just no inserts. They are empty. Car is mint otherwise, not a scratch. Under 18,000 miles. So what am I looking at here LOL? Any help is greatly appreciated thanks. As a side note: I’m actually quite happy that the engine isn’t the 1.5 L turbo as I plan to get lots of life out of this car. I’m just confused as to why it’s in there when everything else points to this being an EXT model.
I like your videos but I found it funny how you kept saying you've forgot to mention something...you do know you can do post editing, right? haha. Good video once more, keep it up!
+Mar because I'm having issues with it. and I'm tired of everyone asking me about using my truck to help them move shit. lol. and I the Tacoma doesn't get as good gas mileage as the civic.i already got my new civic in July it's awesome I recommend it
Something I forget to tell you that Honda is trying out something new with electronics which is the dashboard which is kind of OK like I said I've had a little bit of problems with it I've had an hour over a year
I would rather get the EX and swap the cvt for a manual transmission why would I go for an SI? Other than that I prefer the 9th gen facelift over that 10th gen
+gloriousholy he's not a car salesman he's in charge of taking the photos and putting them on the website and talking to customers online about the car.
Yes I have one as well and I had problems with the electronics the car is perfect it's beautiful it runs great but the dashboard is the biggest problem, especially when you plug it in to turn into your into an iPhone screen I lose connection all the time I have sent it in more than 10 times did they even put a new brain behind it and still a little bit of problems
So this is a dumb question, but I am considering getting a mere EX, mostly because of budget reasons, and I was thinking of buying the dual climate control from the turbo trims and up, so would that work on an ex, or no?
Im not sure if that would even be an option but if it is i would save that money if your budget is tight. I have a 2017 ex-t and I really dont notice/even use the dual climate control option, and when not in use it is the same exact thing as our other bmw that we have. But from my knowledge i dont think that it is possible
Sad that you gloss over the safety package which to me is the most important difference between the two models.most reviews of the EX mentioned this difference in passing.
I don’t believe. I don’t know if you’re familiar but the LX and EX are the ones with the 2.0 engine. The 1.5 L turbo has oil dilution issues and I didn’t want to risk anything in a used car. I bought mine today after looking for 2 months. I got a 2017 EX. Happy so far.
I don't know why anyone would buy a base model car or a lower model, just to save a few bucks? I'm not saying you should buy top of the range (unless you can afford to) but at least mid-range, such as the EX-T. You get a few extras that you won't regret not having.
I just bought the EX last weekend I love it i had a Honda Fit for 5 years and wanted more power and this does everything I need.

fuel economy and better acceleration and power. ex-t is my pick
What's gas should I use?
Any major issue with the ex? I’m nervous to get one bc I want a good and reliable car
BloodThirstyRat Yeh thank you so much! Super helpful
Kendell Furr no problem
Ext or exl ?
Do the ext have the same gasoline issue going into engine like crv turbo engine?
I don't know why anyone would buy a base model car or a lower model, just to save a few bucks? I'm not saying you should buy top of the range (unless you can afford to) but at least mid-range, such as the EX-T. You get a few extras that you won't regret not having.
Does both Honda Ex and Ex-T come with Apple Car Play?
terrence Quinlan yes!
Isn't it the 2.4L not a 2.0L? I am pretty sure the base motor is the K24 engine, no?
its a 2.0L in the civic
I wish the ex had fog lights, not a fan of turbo engines, not as reliable plus this one in particular had oil dilution problems
this is the best review
you make great videos.
I wanted the 1.5L but my parents got me the 2.0. Oh well still a good car with revolutionary accessories.
Be glad you didnt start with a shitty beater like most others fam.
