I hope you enjoy this video. This is my 103rd "WHATS IN THE BOX" kit review and I hope to be completing this model when i have the necessary skills to do it the justice it deserves in a bout 10 years time. I have a model collection/stash of 33-40 1/72 Spitfires which i am currently building badly for the amusement or to the annoyance of my fellow RUclipsrs, As my competence levels are not sufficient to complete this model it will be held in reserve for when i deem the time is right. If you would like to see the of 33 Spitfires there is a link to my collection below. As a novice modeller my intention is to learn the various assembly techniques and skills required, especially that of painting, so as i can produce half decent looking models, I concluded the best way to do this is to start with something simple, personally i think the best way to learn a new skill is repetition; try, try and try again. Hopefully by completing these 33 Spitfire models i will learn a few tricks of the trade. Whilst doing this I am also hoping to improve my VERY basic RUclips skills, so far just uploading these videos has resulted in tantrums of titanic proportions, yes unfortunately i am also techno-phobic.

Hi Andy,welcome back to the hobby, I myself returned a couple of years ago. I have a couple of tips for you if you don’t mind for perfect wheel painting. Tamiya sell sheets of masking paper and a company called Olfa sell circle cutters. I paint the rim colour first, and if you measure the rim diameter and set the circle cutter 1-2mm larger, cut that out of a sheet and cut it almost in half, something resembling pac man lol you can feed that onto the rim edge and perfectly mask it it to paint the tire. Works perfect, just set the edge of the tape with a toothpick and no bleeding. Anyways, works for me wheels are a pain but when they come out nice it’s worth the effort. Cheers, take care. Tips and advice are more than welcome, i actually bought some of the Tamiya masking sheets the other week, as i am struggling with cockpit covers, i will have a look at the olfa circle cutters, thanks. I am also a rim first person, though currently as far as tyres are concerned i am attaching a cocktail stick with blue tack, holding the brush kinda straight and spinning the wheel, kinda works LOL. I haven't actually built a 1/35 yet as i for some reason i considered 1/72 aircraft to be easier, hmmmmm; my intention is to have a go at a 1/35 in a few weeks. Currently trying to become competent at some of the basics and will be moving on to some of the more refined or complex modelling strategies in the future.

oh dear another scale to collect, i have a few random 1/48 aircraft, no ground based kits, though i may try a kit or two at some point in the future, as variety is the spice of life so they say.
Hey Andy, good looking kit will go well with a diorama. The uniforms would be a bit more baggy due to the amount of camera and supplies they carried like several cameras both film and movie cameras so your good to go on that point and the price is certainly good, I chased my tail yesterday on eBay for a kit and found pricing does vary quite a bit on the same kit plus you've got to really watch where they are shipping from.For me, US sellers are not bad on postage. I found one kit going for $15.00, but the shipping was $150.00. That had red flags written all over it. I've really got to fix up my building are and start building, but searching for bargains is kind of fun. We're having a summer heat wave so its a good time to stay inside. Catch you on the next one. LOL yes chasing bargains or interesting kits is fun though expensive. lucky you avoided that $150 shipping fee, thats scandalous, dont get too carried away with ebay spending sprees, i am on the verge of a nervous breakdown just thinking about unpacking and storage at the moment, thinking about building them currently brings me out in a cold sweat PMSL>

From what I know German uniforms were designed and made by Hugo Boss. They are still making clothes/suits. The Nazis seemed to be obsessed by many things including what they looked like. Of interest the Modern Italian Army are very stylish as well. I think the British relied more on practicality for uniforms. Parade dress was another matter.

This was quite an interesting kit for me as its the first Bronco and first British Infantry figure set i have reviewed, they are also non combatants so i guess to a certain degree are kind of interesting from that point of view. Totally agree that British uniform seems to be based on practicality, LOL though our dress uniforms are well, kind of outrageous still.
Hi Andy,good morning.I only have a couple of Bronco kits, one is a British artillery gun 'Pheasant'. Its a 17pdr gun on a 25pdr chassis. The other model I can,t recall right now. You paid a good price on that one. Some people on Ebay do try it on with their prices. As for the figures, well some of them are in crouching or other positions and as you say have other parts to add on. And yes the British uniform was baggy., I think it was so that more could be stuffed into the pockets and the blouse. Dress uniforms are not like this. The definition on the trousers looks ok. I have been working on a lot of figures recently for an upcoming competition , I am not holding out much hope for this one. Figures are difficult in that you have to build up layers of paint very slowly, bit by bit. And they take time. I don,t know if you know this but the German dress uniforms were made by Hugo Boss. Something to think about the next time you consider buying a product by them. As for feeling creaky well at the moment I think that I need a good oiling. I don,t creak I screech. I,ve walked and ran 48kms this week and I,m 58! Good luck to you buddy.
Oh yes have long known about the Hugo Boss connection, dont think i have actually ever owned a piece of Hugo Boss clothing, aftershave yes............... i had to try rationalize the clothing as this is the first British figure kit i have looked at, as far as Bronco kits are concerned they have a few more that are on "the list" so we will be seeing a bit more of them in future. good on you for your 48k i call running "trying to move with out style or grace" as there is nothing good about how i run, on the odd occasion that i now even try.
@@TheNoviceModeller Hi Andy. Oh believe me there is no style or grace in my running , although I did get my friend to video me running so I could see if there was anything wrong with it. I was suprisingly fluid . Mind you I am feeling it today. So figures. Well I have been watching some vids on how to paint them and boy oh boy I have a long way to go. But then mine are mainly 72nd scale but I recently got some 35th scale figures ( free ) so I am practicing on them as well. Tell me , have you noticed that your place is getting smaller ? Your stash is getting huge. I know what that feels like. Good luck bud.
There is a half wall cupboard in the bathroom that i cleared out for 1/72 kits; thats full, there is storage space for 1/35 in the room/cupboard i do the building/filming, thats full; there is a pile of unopened boxes in a bedroom for upcoming haul vids, no idea where they are going to end up. i haven't bought anything for 7 days.......i am relieved at this small victory LOL.

so as a diorama would they be taking photos of the higher rank offices. pulling up in fancy cars to somewhere just a guess would make a nice diorama Andy.

Hello again @neilmc4478; The Steyr? thats one of my favorite German vehicles, the first few vehicles in that film are Steyrs so yes a possibility, Tamiya also do a Kommandeurwagen version of it, so surrendering General? I am a still very much at the novice stage, i am yet to build a 1/35 as have been "practicing"on 1/72 Aircraft, i am now at the stage of needing to build a 1/35 to preserve my sanity, so in a few weeks i will get a kit out and have a go, will be my first 1/35 in 20 years. As for diorama's i have a few thoughts about things i would like to have a go at, but i am afraid you will have to keep watching for at least 6 months to a year before i reckon i will be ready to take that step, as i haven't even tried weathering yet, but yes i imagine i will review the accessories for dioramas. For me this channel is about a journey into the world of modelling and RUclips, i going to try a few new formats and types of vid over the next couple of months, also need to try and get my head around editing, so will be plenty going on, hope you have chance to continue watching

I have one kit by bronco, and it looks,a bit small for 1/35 I see what you mean,I'm sure thay have stopped producing models kits now,happen to hear someone say,I might be wrong.
I have two other Bronco armour kits currently, very big boxes, lots of parts, look very complex
