    I do not know this music, but it sounds wonderful this being the first time I've listened to someone playing a hindustani violin. I used to play violin, I've never tried anything like this and it's a gorgeous sound, thanks for sharing!

      For this piece I was using DADAD tuning.

    Can we play hindustani raags on any simple violin available in music instruments shops or does it have to be a special violin, what type of violin should we buy

      Yes you can play Hindustani on any violin. For 4 string violin you can tune to mSPS or PSPS. I am playing on a 5 string violin with sympathetic strings, however. This is called a Hindustani violin, which was converted in Kolkata.
