3 years age difference. They could’ve been in high school together! I’m struggling with this one… almost 10 years in jail and another 10 on a registry bc that girl got upset and blackmailed him… and he didn’t even know her age! That’s steep in my opinion.. he passed for it being consensual as well. SMH.
Didn’t he say he knew her age? Disgusting. And 3 year age difference means something when it’s a child. The difference physically, mentally and I life stages between 18 and 15 is LARGE. “They could’ve been in high school together” So?? He was still at legal age of consent and she was a MINOR. Can we be for real?? Like yh 8 years is a lot but I don’t understand defending rapists and sex offenders.
Too bad our courts are beyond corrupt and only care about money and politics. That’s where all of this stems from. Quite a few states put you on the registry if you’re seen urinating outside. Megan’s law was created to inform parents of VIOLENT child molesters. However, our government ran with it and are putting more and more people on it so everyone running for office can say “look at all these offenders we convicted” it’s a game for them, they don’t care that peoples lives are ruined. I just saw a Kamala commercial ad saying “she put away 500 dangerous child predators” when in reality it was probably 5 and the rest were small petty technical things. You can’t say “last year we convicted 50 sex offenders, this year we convicted 10” it has to be more and more each year or those in office look like they’re not doing their jobs. The ones already convicted are on the registry for at least a decade so they have to find and make more and more and more. Its sick but that’s the reality of it and if you’re wondering why there’s so many, that’s why

This happened to a friend of mine in highschool. He had just turned 18, went to a party full of seniors and ended up meeting a girl at this party that said she was 17 and a senior at another local highschool. He said she absolutely looked that age, and she was at a party full of seniors in high school so he really didn't question it. They were intimate and he found out after the fact that she was 13, going on 14. After he found this out, he came to my house terrified and devastated. He felt awful, and I could tell he absolutely was not trying to prey on her. It was consensual and the girl lied. He was not a dirt bag creep, I truly believe he would have never even talked to her if he knew her age. Then the girl's mother was trying to have him arrested for statutory grape. I think the best thing is, avoid sleeping with people you do not know when you're around that age. Calling the girl a nymphomaniac is crazy. You’re going off the word of someone you don’t know, degrading a woman in the process when you don’t know her. And you don’t think there’s something wrong with that??
Literally, she's a child, nymphomaniac is not the word, more traumatized. there are definitely issues when a child is so sexually hyed up like that, something happened to her, and I can relate to when I was a young girl. How dare you degrade that young girl, you have NO IDEA who she is, or what her story is.
@skyegabrielle what evidence do you have that she was "traumatized?" That word doesn't seem to fit in this situation maybe words like "horny" and "adventurous" describe her a little better.
I have a friend who just committed suicide over this kind of a case. When he was 14 she was 12. They met at church grew up together when he was 18 she was 16. Parents were cool with it all the way through. Allowed them to have sex everything. She got pregnant. Parents were still cool with it. Then she wanted full custody of the child and he went to fight in court, and all of a sudden the parents yelled statutory rape. And they convicted him. Most 18 year old's are young and dumb. Try getting that through in their heads. They do not know jack shit. They can't hold a job, do not live on their own yet and do not have a clue what life is about. To then tell them that the biggest most exciting fun activity is under high social pressure just does not sink in. How many young teens in the 17/19 just do dumb shit. From speeding to having relations with a young girl. In my country a lot of times there is yet ANOTHER car crash in the weekend. Driver 19 with his 17 yo gf his buddy of 18 and her younger brother of 16 all dead. It is on the news plenty of times. Car twisted around a tree. And to tell these buffoons that they got to watch out because the girl might not be of age if they are 18 and the consequence in your country is they lose 10 years of their life. It won't sink in.

And, if you think about it, that's pretty much the ONLY way we ever expect to learn anything. After all, whatever happened in the past is in the past, & there's absolutely nothing ANYONE can do about it. And while it's true that the past can hurt, there are only 2 ways to deal w/ it. You can either try to run from it, or you can try to learn from it -- & I'd def. choose the latter.

Young and dumb, we all were. I remember getting in the car with a friend of mine we were all hammered. Here legal drinking age at the time was 16, we were 18/19 all had at least 10 beers if not more. Speeding along the city center to another place I do not even remember where we went. Later I felt terribly bad, it wasn't that late and people were still about on the streets. We could have killed someone. If not ourselves. So remorse set in afterwards. Thing is if you are 18 you are not an adult, you just think you are. Not until i was well past 25 maybe 28 I felt like yeah I understood consequences a bit better. Before that we all were men-children. With all the legal rights of an adult but no clue what that meant.

I agree.

There are innocent guys that exist that do not make good decisions, but they are not trying to prey on a child.

but do you ever notice that those teachers getting so little time are always women? female teachers sleeping with a student seem to catch a bit of a break, nobody really says all that much about it. but if it´s a male teacher doing it, suddenly everyone is outraged and calling for blood and to lock him up for the rest of his life. serious double-standards.

He did 8 years in prison for having sex with a nymphomaniac less than 3 years younger than him and then another 14 months for taking his kid to a playground? How dare you degrade that young girl, you have NO IDEA who she is, or what her story is.

He's doing very good in life, and it's being made harder bc he made a questionable, but not criminal decision. Isn't it illegal if it's outside of 5 years of an age gap? HUH. 3 years of difference is still pretty weird, and kinda gross, but I think getting ptsd from PRISON is crazyyy for that
That's just insane. I've seen sickos get way less time than this
I bet the justice system might lie to criminals of their sentencing
I bet the justice system might lie to criminals of their sentencing
You know what, I genuinely have a lot of respect for this guy. 18 and 15 is questionable but they were both teenagers and it was consensual between the two of them. He served longer than actual rapists have served for much more heinous acts of violence. Honestly the system is so broken but I wish this guy all the best
She lied he did not rape her although it can't be consensual because of her age 15 and his 18... he's a decent stand up guy and I'm proud he's turned his life around
Did she say she was 16-17? Or did she just look older and naturally like any of us thought she was
these are my favorite Steve episodes!
I like Alex. He paid the price . We all make mistakes .
I wish him all the best for the future.
I think he's a good man and we deserve a second chance .
Bless you Alex and your lovely children and your beautiful family .
God bless from England ❤❤❤❤
Thank you
He did 8 years in prison for having sex with a nymphomaniac less than 3 years younger than him and then another 14 months for taking his kid to a playground? This is outrageous and their close ages to each other should have made that much less of an offense. When I was in high school I saw several cases of seniors dating freshman batted an eyelash. He got a very raw deal.
@@alexrussell933i tip my hat to you mate. Keep the yead up youre a good man. If im ever in Utah I'd buy you a drink. Respect from Ireland 👍
I have worked with sex offenders who have committed heinous crimes against children and haven't served a day in jail let alone present. I had one client tell me he doesn't even have a clue how many kids he has hurt in his life. He admitted in Pre-Sundancing investigation and got Mercy from the court to never serve prison because he was old and dying.
I like his honesty and wish him all the best, he is very trustworthy with all his words, amongst the guest who had been in steve wilko , he is actually one of the most likeable, believeable even before the result came out. May god bless this man to have a straight good life and just do all the right things so he can be the best husband to his wife and the best father to his kids.
I know what you mean. Trying to be honest, & even being real, it's NEVER easy. Nevertheless, it takes a whole heap of guts in taking that way out, & I totally respect & admire him for that!!!
15 and 18 doesn’t make him a pervert. It’s a different kind of wrong doing. The accountability he has is amazing.
The therapy program that he's been on has worked well.
I wish him all the best ❤
❤🎉
I think women who lie and ruin someone’s life like that should be investigated
Good for you Alex 🎉🎉🎉
What you did at 18 shouldn't stain you for life. That's sickening
thank God he told the truth now they can tell the family who believed the family member she said like4 other men in same family raped her too so we already expected it to be a lie thank goodness he was honest poor thing has to stay on list a few more years though SO NOT FAIR POOR GUY
Steve Wilkos For President
Rapo😅 lol I don't know why that's so funny but i'm using it
Well he's honest !! Keep being a good dad !!
how can a sex offender get a gf but not me
Look in the mirror..and maybe change ip your style just saying
Because she don’t care about kids.
I think 8years was too much when there are literal 26ish year old men who get community service for raping 5year olds. (I was the 5yr old) He knew it wasnt right for him to get with a 15year old thats why he didnt fight it. I still am not happy that the 15 year old lied about it being not consenual. And the family member lying about that too. This guy just wants to live his life and raise his kids.
Bruh 18-15? 8 years? Thats not even bad tho, people who are actually rapist barely get 10 years smh.
True
because they fight their cases vs just pleading guilty. Your defense lawyer can't do anything for you if you plea guilty before he can fight. You always plea not guilty, you get better deals down the line. Never take the first deal
@@LilT2o00 but I was not gonna fight that I did mess up
@@alexrussell933 sir sir sir; everyone is entitled to a fair trial and you obviously didn't know. w/e guilt you felt wasn't worth the extra years of your life. you coulda done two instead of 8; let your attorney do the job. Nothing about those extra years improved anything (unless you think you wouldn't have been able to get clean and off the substances in two and need more time, more time didn't benefit you in any capacity)
@LilT2o00 it took me 6 years to get clean even on the inside
I’m glad he cleared his name up ..his family member needs to do some prison time. FOUR family members she has accused so far.
When it comes to children all bets are off.
I’m prolly finna get a whole lot of hate for this comment but I believe he had poor judgment from not asking the girl how old she really was. 15 and 18 is common in high school. 9.5 years is crazy but he took responsibility and served his time. So happy for him.
Thank you
@@alexrussell933listen man Proud of you I’m sorry you had to deal with the crap and feel shame the way you did keep on keeping on you got this!!
