Reincarnation. The video starts off with the red Bird - the color red symbolizes life. Then the girl is wearing red. She's a bird, then a girl, a woman, and is reincarnated as a baby at the end.
I think your interpretation is good. Background story: The band recorded this album in a building that was supposedly haunted, and they felt like there were presences and they weren't alone. So they were inspired to write this song. They choose a romeo and juliet scenery for the video, and if you look closely at it, it's all about the life circle and reincarnation, with killing the bird in the beginning, Juliet dying, and a new born baby at the end. System of a down aren't just political, there's also a lot of spiritual (not really religious) stuff in their songs. Obviously the title "Question" tells us, that it is one of the biggest questions in human life, where we come from, and where we go, when we die.
He is saying "Sweet berries ready for two Ghosts are no different than you", i never knew wtf he was saying either until I finally looked it up years ago lmfaoo he says shit fast
The question here is simply (not simple at all), What is life? And what does death mean? And yeah, here comes a baby. (Babies come by the tens of thousands, every day.) A sweet, tender baby. You were one too, once. And the question is... why? That baby is going to die, as will you and I. Sooner or later, hopefully later. But the question is in the title. If we're all going to die, what are we supposed to be looking for while we're here, and what are we looking at in facing that inevitable death....
You gotta check out the first album. Not to take away from the greatness they continued to put out. But Rick Ruben said they are the most talented and unique band he has ever recorded with.
Being a longtime fan of System of a Down, I'm a bit proud and yet also ashamed to admit that this is the only song of their is it actually brings me to tears each time I listen to it. A powerful message about questioning faith and different interpretations of the afterlife. "Do we know when we fly? When we go, do we die?"
This song is based off a dream Sorvo had. They turned it into a pseudo romeo and juilet play video wise to instill the poison aspect. Beautiful song attached
The song is fairly self explanatory. But there is a lot of effort put into this work that I think goes unnoticed. Both musically and the meaning behind the song as well. It's a traditional Adam and Eve story. But it goes into the nature of man as a whole. Our entire being is fueled by our thirst for knowledge and exploration. Yet this very thing is so double sided. We create these beautiful worlds through art and innovation making the world our stage. But at the same time we lose our innocence and eternal peace all because we question who and what we are. Some things will forever be beyond our grasp of understanding and to pursue these things leads us to places that drain us of our life. The song follows the law of entropy... It's starts with a big bang that leads us through an entire life trajectory all these beautiful complex mixtures of time signatures coming together to create a masterpiece which slowly builds up into complete chaos until it comes to an end with the baby where it just repeats the same cycle over again... All cause we gave up our innocence to question our existence.
The love birds in the garden ate the fruit of pleasure and grew up together being all lovely divey n she died but had his their child left behind , my interpretation
I hate to point out the elephant in the room... but... who tf is SOTD? How do you declare your undying love for a band that you don't even know the actual name of???? Wait.... is THAT the Question??? wow!!!
You're working too hard. I don't think that most SOAD videos/songs have a straight linear plot. Think general concepts and iconic imagery, and then create your interpretation.

The Question is “What happens when we die?” and the song is about the emotions and weight that comes with trying to find the answer.
This song is amazing man.

@@RahimRahmat rahim, go get a life bro
Just an amazing song and video
It's a mix of a whole bunch of fairy tales. Like you said. But the Elf king by Schubert is a big one I think.
The Beatles a day in a life
Now you watched this video, ghosts are now waiting for you......
i think... the girl wearing red dress dies and her baby is the child at first, killing that red bird, maybe she's the bird, or maybe not...
Bunch of talented Armenians
I took the lyrics as the question is where do we go after we die what happens to us that is the question
Now time to switch up your SOAD sounds, and do Spiders.
