In my opinion, one of the funniest parts of these videos is how he can say things that are really funny, but still appear absolutely serious and show no signs of humor
I'll never forget, as a kid, the first time I heard the mom's line telling the kids that they were in the real world, and that those people *will* try to kill them. It's good for kids to get that sort of message every once in a while.
You all should do Mystery Men next. It seems to me the meaning behind it is almost diametrically opposed to The Incredibles. Also you can throw in some stuff about Smash Mouth and meme culture too
“Everyone is special Dash” “Which is another way of saying no one is” This is unchallenged by the film and is literally the villains plan “When everyone’s super, no one is” It’s surprising how in your face the film is yet it seems to have largely slipped by people’s notice.
I can see it now, Scrooge is miserable at first because he’s embraced Christian herd morality and has archaic concepts of relationships. He then is visited by ghost existential past, a man with many regrets of holding onto arbitrary traditions, ghost existential present, Nietzsche shows him the consequences of herd morality by showing the life little Timmy, a boy who is weak and is taught to be weak, so that instead of empowering himself, he will die because he can’t lift himself up after being knocked over by an uncaring stranger, and drowns in mud. Than is visited by the ghost of existential future, Albert Camus tells him the absurdity of existence and that meaning can only be derived from people themselves, and shows a potential future where nothing changes because the strong are taught to be weak. In the end Scrooge realizes he shouldn’t be charitable because of Christianity, but learns to be charitable to do that he can make friends in this life, he puts Timmy on personal training regime, pays his workers more for their hard work to compensate them, and reduced his interest rates knowing well he can’t be paid if the people don’t have enough money to pay him, as well as encouraging people to come to him for his competitive rates. And becomes a boon to the local community which is revitalized so that everyone can support themselves.
Syndrome is probably one of the best villains out there Sad that he died It wasn't entirely his fault that he became a villain But i could say same for most decent villains.
While the video’s probably more correct than I am, I always thought part of the Incredibles theme was related to how Buddy, even since he was young, just wanted to be a superhero for vanity, and the Incredibles actually cared about others and were even willing to sacrifice their superhero identities for society. It’s kind of hard to argue with the ubermensch-over-gritty-underdog themes clearly evidenced in the video, though... Also, seems weird that a Pixar movie would endorse inequality and victimize natural talent (these strike me as unpopular). Why would Disney/Pixar would go in that direction? I know Disney’s evil, but what exactly motivated an “Ayn Rand Pixar movie.”
Buddy could've used his genius in more mundane ways like building a business empire. Then he could really have had the ultimate revenge by hiring Mr Incredibles' kids and slowly but surely break them...
For those who don't get it, the Incridibles is talking about the U.S. as a military force over other countries, the U.S. has power ergo you must submit, that's usually the motto of the U.S. Government.
One of your best reviews.............Disney has always secretly put in its movies the idea that you are either born to greatness such as being a prince or princess or having special gifts.......and that the rest of society can never achieve these things because you must be special to deserve happiness and success.
@@JoseAyapan literally no one was hating Ayn Rand (though she and her philosophy does do have their flaws). All that's being said is that the theme of _The Incredibles_ is one that Rand would probably agree with.
When Garyx lowers his head at the end of each episode is he rejoining the hive mind of his people? Is the form we see truly Garyx? Or simply a body Garyx is inhabiting due to the eyebrows ability to contact the hivemind? If I grew out my eyebrows could Garyx commune with me? Can Garyx take over Martin Scorsese? His eyebrows are pretty crazy.
Helen has a friend named "Snog", and from what I looked up, "snog" means "kissing and snuggling", and there's a picture of Snog and Helen together in the movie when she called him. Is there a past between them?
I can definitely see this dilemma where during one's life, where one's identity is in flux between being exceptional and thinking that all of it is because of narcissism. Like there are all these things where one's empirically exceptional, but is forced to doubt oneself into thinking that one's exceptionalism is an illusion stemming from narcissism. Like there are people who believe that they are exceptional, but are just narcissists and there are people who are truly exceptional, but are not allowed to express that without being labeled as narcissists. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. It can be seen where mediocre people have an easier you time succeeding that exceptional people. Because as a mediocre narcissist, there is no room to think anything else. But as a balanced exceptional person, one is constantly doubting oneself.
I don't really agree with the last bit. Syndrome pretty handily beat the Incredibles, and could probably stand on even grounds with any super(barring extreme cases). He lost to his own oversights and hubris, however. First, when he didn't take into account just how Bob beat the first robot, and again when he was trying to show off more than trying to actually save the city. As for the Incredibles killing him, that was for trying to and threatening to steal Jack Jack.
See? Now you respect his right to politesse, because he's a _threat_. That's the way it works. Turns out there are a lot of people, *whole countries*, who want respect. And they will pay through the nose to get it.
Yeah, what would have happened if he was nice to buddy is that he would adopt the kid, make him a sidekick, but one day Bomb Voyage would capture him and torture him to death with a crowbar, and then buddy would come back evil as the Red Hood.
Actually if Buddy hadn't shown up Bomb Voyage would have been captured and not stuck a bomb on his cape which then destroyed the train tracks which made Mr. Incredible try and save the people only to be sued. Then every hero wouldn't have been sued and super heroes would have been a public presence for a bit longer.
Some people in the other ones kept saying that they are reposting for the money. I believe they really just want to get all their eggs in the correct basket.
Rcodes10 They left wisecrack don't know why.. but something similar happened with MatPat, several people left his channel also.. Again don't know why.. I can speculate though..
I think the channel splits have been due to the Adpoc. With different channels sharing the same audience, not only do they get to brand each show as it's own channel, it's less likely that one show will drag down the whole channel when it comes to advertisements. A channel with multiple shows is vulnerable in this system.
They murdered him. XD
wow this movie was much darker than I initially realized
This movie is Watchmen for kids. It really is quite dark.
Man... this movie freaked the hell out of me as a kid when you find out how many heroes Syndrome killed in his petty revenge campaign.
No it's the fountainhead for kids.
Yep. It took a lot of story beats from Watchmen but completely disfigured Alan Moore's philosophy in favor of Ayn Rand's
Well the movie does start with a guy trying to commit suicide
In my opinion, one of the funniest parts of these videos is how he can say things that are really funny, but still appear absolutely serious and show no signs of humor
I'll never forget, as a kid, the first time I heard the mom's line telling the kids that they were in the real world, and that those people *will* try to kill them. It's good for kids to get that sort of message every once in a while.
Okay, okay, this is all fun, but *WHERE IS MY SUPERSUIT???*
This may be my favourite episode yet
The Galaxy Quest inspired music at the end is great.
What I learnt from the movie:
Super strength + super elasticity = super speed + invisibility + fire + demon + ....
I love this analysis because it shows that you don't necessarily need a well thought out message to make several million dollars
You all should do Mystery Men next. It seems to me the meaning behind it is almost diametrically opposed to The Incredibles. Also you can throw in some stuff about Smash Mouth and meme culture too
One of my favourite movies hahaha
shit forgot that one ,thanks xD
2:50 the best line of this episode
Another amazing video like always! Love your work!
Never bully geeks in their childhood, even if you are a superhero. It never ends well.
*...for the geek.*
(According to the self-loathing Pixar corporation.)
Awesome video once again! Can you do Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind next please!
" *the indignity of effort* " that's now on my vocabulary
Thank you
Watching _The Incredibles_ as a slightly older child than when i first watched it I got really strong Ayn Randian, Harisson Bergeron vibes from it.
“Everyone is special Dash”
“Which is another way of saying no one is”
This is unchallenged by the film and is literally the villains plan
“When everyone’s super, no one is”
It’s surprising how in your face the film is yet it seems to have largely slipped by people’s notice.
“The baby has other ideas like sending Syndrome to hell” 🤣🤣🤣 enough said that line is hilarious
this channel is amazing!!! thank you very much
"To infinity bath and beyond!" That last line killed me hahah
Garyx Wormuloid!!? Where have you been!
I've been wondering & waiting for so long!
This was quite incredible!
I personally feel that the point of the incredibles is that it’s not about ubermensch on the outside, but the ubermensch on the inside that counts.

I read that entire thing in Garyx's voice.
A nice study on freddy nietshemeyer
Syndrome is probably one of the best villains out there
Sad that he died
It wasn't entirely his fault that he became a villain
But i could say same for most decent villains.
Would The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy be a sufficiently popular movie to do? It is an adaptation of a famous novel after all.
I didn't say in my first comment since I hadn't watched the video yet, yay new outro music! This one's much more cinematic.
THANK you
I lowkey prefer Mr. Incredible’s blue costume over his red one
Finally! the correct recap
My life makes so much sense now!

um... The Fantastic Four?
Great insight and the lulz

Are we gonna talk about the fact their baby just killed a guy before he was even 5 years old? Holy shit the things you notice lol
He defended himself from being kidnapped so
One of your best reviews.............Disney has always secretly put in its movies the idea that you are either born to greatness such as being a prince or princess or having special gifts.......and that the rest of society can never achieve these things because you must be special to deserve happiness and success.
Man I miss these videos
This is amazing!
The Incredibles aka Ayn Rand's favourite bedtime story
Aw yes let's all hate on Ayn Rand works.
@@JoseAyapan who's hating?

All of this is a really complicated social issue that will likely never be resolved. Oh well, I'll just keep laughing my ass off with the video.
Oh.. hyoomans aren't supposed to be stretchy?
That explains sooooo much about the hearing.
Pretty sure being too stretchy makes you a pirate.
And piracy is a crime.
Whaaaaat?
HEY KUDOS.
EXCELLENT OUTRO.
And God Bless.

Thank you for acknowledging the Devineness of his noodely appendages!
That escalated quickly
Tenth.
I love this series.
Please do Hidden Meaning of Blade Runner 2049.
There are no hidden meanings in that movie.
He’ll find a way.
I loved the flying spaghetti monster reference
Best Fantastic Four movie ever
That end theme gives me strong Battlestar Galactica vibes...
Have you ever considered dying your eyebrows? Its a new trend in my planet.
plz do one for casablanca
Yes
"A Pixar 'Joint'." Hahahaha! I see what you did there!
sad that the one and only reason he's not received as a once in a lifetime genius, instead a villain, is because he killed supers.
A fine piece of Human Film
Does Horseverin appear in the sequel?
Please do Alien's Guide to Riddick :)

This seems to be a completely different read on Incredibles compared to what wise crack put out.
Oooh, look, they made a movie about Garax Wormuloid's eyebrows
Some times I forget that syndrome straight up dies at the end.
Bwahahaha! (That's a belly laugh!)
Dude program in your space VCR is super easy. Just read your space VCR manual
Please do a Game of Thrones
is this not the nodal lie?
Do you want powers?
