Mi 11 t pro vs mi 11 plz
Being the last of the current smartphone generation isn't always good. The Xiaomi 12 series is a couple of months away, as well as the next generation of Snapdragon chips. Meanwhile, the most popular flagship has already seen some sensible price cuts and we are not sure how the 11T launch price of €649 will hold up. CONS :
* IP68 would have been better.
* Average battery life.
* Poor sustained performance under stress (though games run peachy).
* No OIS, telephoto camera or lossless zoom.
* The daylight photo processing needs fixes.
* The Xiaomi selfie camera is long overdue for an upgrade.

at half the price of its competitors but the camera is competitive and even in my opinion the front camera is better than the flagship
I have the Xiaomi 11t. And I find that the camera for photos and videos is super inconsistent. Sometimes shots are amazing. Most times, they soften, overexpose or oversharpen and just look really low-quality especially weird considering some shots end up top shelf.
Inconsistency is really my summary for 11t. Anyone with the same problem? I want to go to the realme 9pro plus. How much better is it?
As expected, not at the same level with 11 ultra, but it's performance is better than enough.
Mi 11 Ultra is the only one that doesn't over sharpen everything.
And according to DXO better than Iphone 13 Max

Mi 11 Ultra was the overall winner 👏🥇🏆. Just watched this comparison on a fantastic big 10.5" Super AMOLED screen (Samsung Galaxy Tab S6) and it was the best No.1 according to my eyes. But about these camera comparisons, we know people have different preferences, some like very natural looking photos while others like more saturated vivid results (Samsung phones, like new Galaxy A52s with OIS. I like what Samsung is doing, A52s outdoors pictures probably can compete against these 3 models successfully maybe even win? And it costs just 1/3 of these rivals (now as Black Friday A52s costs only 349€ here in Finland 🇫🇮 normally 399€). Why I took A52s as an example is because at just a fraction of rivals price you can get much better value for money with OIS and great sounding stereo speakers and a gorgeous 6.5" Super AMOLED screen plus 3 years of Android OS upgrades meaning Android 12,13,14 will come and security updates even longer. Not bad at all 👍

Good saturation from the iPhone, makes skies look good but oversaturated on skin tones. The Mi 11 Ultra looks to have the best detail during daytime, but loses a lot in low light - I guess it really cranks up the ISO. Not worried about 4k, more concerned about IS performance. Thanks for the video!
Thanks Frankie for the amazing major massive contents. To be honest, the winner is clearly the Mi11 Ultra compare between Mi11T Pro vs Mi11 Ultra only. But still the Mi11T Pro is still the best affordable budget premium flagship phone afterall. I really like the thin camera bump, the thin chin bezel, the 120watt charging & most of all the Amoled display that is on Mi11T Pro.👍😎👍
Most of the photos you've taken looked best on 11t pro imho. The video recording also looked best on 11t pro. That's actually interesting because I was pretty sure I'm gonna like the ones on mi 11 ultra more

Xiaomi really needs to fix the Dynamic range. If they manage to do that, then I can say they can go head to head with Apple in terms of camera.

I haven't used 11ultra but 11t pro is really, really great. Really fast, makes beautiful photos and videos, excellent display, perfectly sounding loudspeakers, fully charges in about 20minutes also perfect for gaming

It's a shame that with a 108 MP camera that is so good, the Xiaomi 11T Pro doesn't include OIS in it, hopefully there will be improvements in the software update to solve this problem so that the image can stay sharp and not blurry ...
ois cannot be done by software update
It's not a 108 MP sensor, just a marketing gimmick, in default mode it takes 12 MP camera , you have to turn on 108 Mode from camera mode, which takes pic in 12 mp through software it makes the pic in to 108 MP (with Pixel Binning)
Other than that IOS is very important for photo shots because of it you get stable photo most of the time,
Iphone for me was a little too much on the warmer side

For me It's Xiaomi 11T pro the winner. Considering that it's not far from the results from Xiaomi ultra and Iphone max, but the price of 11T makes it the winner.

With my experience with Xiaomi, give them a couple of update and the camera will improve A LOT!!

@@rauloltean2646 GCam is Google's camera app, the one that comes with pixel phones. There are ports of it for numerous mobile phones, and the image quality on main camera is better than with stock camera apps.

According to several websites that review cell phone cameras the mi 11 ultra is ahead of the iPhone, some weeks ago the best camera phone in the world was the mi 11 ultra Surpassing the iPhone 12 pro max, it wasn't just a site, literally every site that evaluates cameras and cameras on cell phones put the mi 11 ultra best overall.The iPhone wins on camera when using the camera on Instagram, because it has a little more optimization.
Mi 11 Ultra overall and there is no way the night shots on the 12pro max are better or comparable but loved the video
Not an apple fan and Xiaomi user here. The difference in photo quality between apple and Xiaomi is extremely visible. Apple really playing in a league of its own.
First, thank you for a decent honest review. Here's what I thought:
11T Pro: sucks with zoom, isn't even usable. Breathtaking portrait and good daylight photos. Surprisingly acceptable night shots.
11 Ultra: Overall balanced with amazing zoom and least sharpening.
IPhone: too warm, best front video and solid rear video. Photos in the dark are magnificent.
Audio is pretty much on the same level with all 3.
I'm now even happier with my 11T Pro, and want to give its underwhelming camera another chance.
How happy are you with the phone after being so many months of using it?
@@tealeaf1215 I had regrets at first but I'm quite happy now. I didn't factor that phones in my country have prices that practically never drop (redmi note 9 pro is almost the same price STILL). The 11T Pro is good for me.
Pros: good battery, better than what people say (even with BT and data on for a couple of hours a day + 120hz on all the time). One of the best sounding speakers on any phone with a sweet large screen. Front camera? I almost never use them but I find myself drawn to use this one because it's not bad at all. Don't like the camera? Install gcam! (Pro only because it won't work well with MTK chips). Haptics are so nice I kept them on for the first time since iPhone 4!
Hidden gem features : dual BT streaming & speaker cleaner sonic sound!
The stereo speakers are well positioned for gaming.
Cons: they didn't optimise the software very well for the model and has some small annoying flaws like a delay in the lock sounds, not good for a premium phone. I don't get a loud notification about low battery around 5% and that made me find the phone dead thrice now. Old xiaomi phones notified you, and I never had it die. The back is a fingerprint magnet. It heats quite a bit so I advise playing in a well cooled room and without a case on to get maximum cooling.

Also do you know if you can connect the phone to the TV with hdmi to ctype cable? I can connect my old Huawei mate 10 pro which is more than 4 years, I'm not sure if all new phones comes with this feature.

I love the design of the camera module on the mi 11 ultra but most of your selfie camera shots/videos between the 11t and 11 ultra. The 11t seemed to have that slight edge in detail of pictures. Is there an update on the 11 ultra that improves on this?

hi frankie, i have a question about 2 devices. i dont really which to choose to be honest, the oneplus 8t or xiaomi 11t pro. the camera is the deciding factor for me. which would you say has a better camera?
Very mixed results for any of them, the iPhone is very opinionated when it comes to color but delivers best hdr.
Xiaomi 11T pro is okay, the Mi 11 Ultra is a beast, but...damn, that iPhone camera is soo frickin good!!

May I suggest something though? can you put an actual image (taken by the main camera you use to shoot) beside the pictures taken by the cellphones so that we can see which amongst them are near true to life colors, great image size, etc.

Thanks, very good comparison, though it would be even better if the was a mechanism that could trigger the shot at the exact same time. I think the clear winner here is the mi 11 ultra.
But now, one year later, you can spend 800-900€ on a refurbished iPhone 12 Pro Max, or 720€ on a brand new Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra or just 360€ on an brand new Xiaomi 11T Pro ... that changes things rapidly, making the iPhone the worst deal, while the 11T Pro is not as brilliant as the mi 11 Ultra, but it also just costs HALF of it!
Today the camera of the Xiaomi 12T Pro is outstanding, making the 11T Pro look really old.
Has anyone tried the slo-mo of these 3 phones? Any thoughts on that?
PS.: I use that on my work, and I was thinking about a phone upgrade also...

True, and will fit for nature shots. But during the day I only Cary my phone, thus it would require of me to be dependent on more accessories.
Not all OIS cameras are created the same and not all DIS cameras are created the same. The same goes for mega pixels. I recently purchased a 11T Pro to replace an ASUS Zenfone 7 Pro that the WIFI died. It has OIS, but the DIS on the 11T Pro does a decent job when needed. Otherwise, when not needed, the video quality is better. I couldn't afford to pay $1000 for a new phone again, so the 11T Pro does the job. I also have a Canon DSLR with OIS and with a steady hand the results are better quality videos, even with the DSLR.
What's OIS ? And what effect it adds?

I thought the iPhone was clear winner and as it was last year's model which will be replaced next week, that means the iPhone 13 Pro will be easily the best -v- Xiaomi! Hopefully Xiaomi will improve their camera next year and knowing them they should, but they are still fighting in the wake of the true champ, the iPhone!

Mi 11t selfies are top notch. Best selfie camera ever on any smartphone yet. Period. Even the front camera video is too good. I think xiaomi mistakenly put a primary sensor on their selfie camera on mi11t.

I always wonder why people say Xiaomi needs a 4k selfie camera. In what scenario is low bitrate 4k going to be beneficial on your selfie camera? There's a reason Apple stuck with 12mp main sensors for so long and were some of the best video options even when other brands went to 108mp.
I agree 👍 A 4K selfie video camera is pointless! Just look at 1080p selfie video and the left one is Xiaomi 11t Pro which looked amazing. Just think how much storage all 4K selfie videos will need! 😱. No, Xiaomi don't do that and it's for a good reason, their 1080p video front camera looked perfectly optimized and better than iPhones 4K video on my big great quality AMOLED screen Samsung Galaxy Tab S6. And overall winner in this test was of course Xiaomi's Ultra model 👏🥇🏆

I purchased the 11t pro. The video does look the best for me. The zoom is not good at all. But I keep positive with with the 120 w charge and the snapdragon 888. And ... I got for around 800 dlls, which I think is worth it

@@pranitakiduniya8845 Gaming experience 10 out of 10. It never freezes and I didn't experience any overheating. For example call of duty and pubg are working smoothly on the highest settings. Camera is really good as well

Just so you know the middle phone will have an advantage in these test because there's less rotational sway
Seems iPhone 12 is less true to the real look of things.. where the mi 11 ultra seems more true to the actual saturations... makes the iPhone more good looking out of the box but is actually processed photo's?? iPhone does seem to have a tiny bit more dynamic range... but mi 11 still seems to blow the iPhone away in overal photo quality... Interesting video! Thanks! Even though it feels you are biased since you make the iPhone win.. while, for me however, Xiaomi clearly seems to do a better job.
1 Thing I do miss in the video.... the time it takes to open the camera-app, make the photo, and make the second photo. My wife a I travel a lot and so many times we (mostly she) quickly wants to get a photo... and by then we care less about the maximum quality we can get, but more about the phone being able to make the photo in time. Starting the app.. waiting the AI to recognise the scene and adjust the settings... then making the photo and processing it before we can make another photo. If the iPhone is slower in doing this, I rather have a phone with halve the quality and dubbel the speed of making the actual photo.
