    One of the Japanese commenters notes that there is a pre-alert first, and upon the "main" alert they have to look up the address on a map (Tokyo does not have western style street addresses but a rather convoluted system of blocks and named buildings).

    I love the little gate for the pedestrians and how they walk around it as soon as they think it's okay to.

    火災現場で救急隊の方達も水を被る可能性が有り
    防火服は無いので代わりに合羽を着用し出場する事が有ります。

    Is there a possible reason why the Japanese fire departments place mechanical sirens behind the red lightbar instead of in front so as to not block the sound?

    Fair comment. Most unusual for these guys, maybe doing a back up or standby somewhere else.

    in the U.S.A. during the day with on-duty firefighters we are out of the station in less than a minute, at night less than 2 min. what were they grabbing out of what appeared to be a freezer?? cooling vedts?

    • @steve1978ger
      @steve1978ger 4 года назад +1

      "less than a minute" is more of an ideal than a reality, isn't it? What you can find here on YT is usually between 1:30 to 2:30, and in the daytime.

    Let's not complain about how slow the turnout may be but praise them for turning out anyway! These people, like all firefighters, have their lives on the line every time they leave the station so arigatou to this FD.

    Can anyone translate what they are saying over the P.A. system as they are driving? It would be greatly appreciated.

    • @breaknow100REV
      @breaknow100REV  9 лет назад +2

      NVTrucker There is also a part which isn't heard by the tone of the siren, but one heard is this."Emergency vehicle turn to the left.
      Stop just as it is, and please wait a moment. please wait a moment."

    • @NVTrucker
      @NVTrucker 9 лет назад +1

      *****
      Are these pre-recorded messages or are they over the P.A. by the officer in charge?

    • @yoshinori20
      @yoshinori20 9 лет назад +1

      NVTrucker Some Japanese ambulance can use pre-recorded message. The message linked turn signal. Of course, they can use officer's voice using microphone.
      Fire engines, Ladder, and Rescue truck were not able to use pre-record message.

    I'm sure they have a method and are very good at what they do. But these Tokyo response videos, a bunch of the guys just look like they're running around in circles. Like the guy at the 1:51 mark. And the P.A. thing is hilarious. Everyone has their own way I guess.

      That is a Japanese Fire Department Ambulance along with the white one which is a city ambulance that was sitting beside the engine housed at the station.
