Well, I was thinking that even though the meaning is the same, "keskiyö" is literally "midnight" while "sydänyö" is more poetic at least in more modern finnish.

My english is not so good, but as far as I understand, your translation is very nice overall. BTW. "yösydännä" "in / at the dead of night" (hardly any younger finns speak like "yösydännä...")
