Jaz-O verse on "N*gga What, N*gga Who" still amazes me. The pocket he was in with that verse and how lyrical he was while rapping at that pace. The degree of difficulty was something else, especially considering how effortlessly he paced himself on that verse.
😂😂😂That verse was trash. Im at Twista and Tech9 speed.....that verse wasn't as complex as you think it is. It was basic and choppy as hell.
This is another reason why Vol 1& 2... are his two of his best records. HOV & Jaz Did Dat!🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🥂
Facts, Man I Was Like “Oh I See Where Jay Got His Shit From”
I agree with you I think Jaz got jay in that song the way hov got Jaz in bring it on
This is a wild side of the story. Now I get why his verse cut thru the mix different, did it 1 take with no soundcheck
The opening line by Hov set the tone for that song. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Jazo definitely went in his bag on that.
Agreed!...on both ur points
MF wanna act loco,
hit em with
numerous
Shots from the 44
One of the greatest verses in hip hop history
"Rulin‚ rhymin' with rigour and vigour‚ nobody bigger than me and my nigga‚ Jigga..." 🔥🔥🔥
That part right there set him apart from everyone...including Jay.
Def a Teacher vs. Pupil song.
Jaz-O’s verse on Jigga What, Jigga Who, is another time when Jay-Z was left for a close second on his own song. Respect to Jaz-O the mechanics of that verse were impeccable.
🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢
Stop the madness
😂 Jay Z super-stans can’t handle the truth ^^
@@JesseLD3jealous
Fuck no, Jay killed all 3 of his verses.
Know what I dig about MEO. The interviews are at a GROWN MANS pace. No getting super high, no clownin' and jokes all interview long. Just a some solid cats sitting in the barbershop, chopping it up. Salute 🫡
*ONE OF THE GREATEST VERSES OF ALL TIME* Jaz-O killllllllled.
Absolutely!!
Til dis day, when, "JIGGA WHAT, JIGGA WHO" comes on, I GO IN. I swear I'm Jay, but when Jaz's part comes on, FORGET A BOUT IT!!! SICK!!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥 one if my favorite verses ever the 3rd verse from Jigga What wit Jay and Jazz goin crazy!
Bruh this song literally been in my playlist on heavy rotation for the last 3 weeks.
Jaz, Dehaven and Klein couldn’t embrace the fact that the little homie became the big homie
Hope Math get Sauce Money up there. He was NICE! I’ll never forget him beefing with Wu-Tang saying “I thought you niggaz really was Chinese the way you duck Sauce” lol😮😂
That beat on jigga what jigga is fucking amazing
They both went in on that song.
Your style's your style my style's hostile... that line alone did it for me
Jigga What Jigga who beat one of the most futuristic and innovative beats ever. Still hard to believe it is was made in 1998
Jaz the originator chillin with Math looking like R-Kelz big bro😂 Salute for this interview🫡
What he says is a fact but people don't look at it that way because of all of the subsequent success of other artist. The label was founded to further Hov's career. Their mission never changed from the first album, no matter how much they grew. It worked until it didn't. Would it be safe to say it fell apart over trying to figure out how to move on from there original objective?
Bingo 🎯
great take
Top 5 feature for me. Legendary.
Sounds like Jaz-o was in his own way. Kinda sounds like he wanted jay and dame to beg him to be on the label cause he gave jay his first real shot.
That’s what I’m getting out of this interview too. He stunted his own career.
That's exactly what I said. Bro let his pride get in the way. He probably could've just went to Jay and ask him to be part of the label and Jay most likely would've let him in. But his pride wouldn't let him do that and Jay and Dame probably took it as he didn't want to be a part of their movement.
@@iomegaprime2.087nah jay did dirty...Jay haters!
I agree
Too much pride on both sides It sounds like. And with Jaz being less successful It hits him worse.
jaz being behind Da Ranjas makes perfect sense why their single with ceelo sounded so good.
I think Jaz-O would have succeeded @ Roc-a-fella. Especially back then when lyricists were revered.I think bare minimum he would at least went gold.
Jaz be talking in circles😅
nigga can’t admit it . Bro was jealous like it’s been years and it’s understandable . Jus say it lmao
The o - ri - gi -na - tor!
I was play black album the other day and heard this line "Plus I hit my momma with cash from a show that I had
Supposedly knowing nobody paid Jaz wack ass
I'm getting ahead of myself, by the way, I could rap"
Smh Jaz is the truth tho 😂😂 no cap Jaz - Ova tract is classic
Killed it.... " rolled the f outta Bm's, f'in bm's on the road when you have to be in bed in the pm"
I had to go back and listen. Jaz flamed that shit🔥
He sure did!!!
I’ve met amil actually a few times . We stay in NC and I went to school with her oldest son . Went to the crib a few times . She’s a very pretty and humble lady . The white ppl around their area don’t know the star they have around them : shit always was wild to me
How many kids she got?
It bothers me that people don't talk about how Jaz killed that whole song with that little verse
Righttttt
Jay sabotaged him.
He definitely went in.
Flames
Most definitely he went in........ I wish his verse was longer
Got a condo with nothing but condoms in it same place where the rhymes were invented
Rapid fire like I'm blastin a tech, never jam though, never get hot, never run out of ammo
So all I do is rap and sex, imagine how I stroke, see how I was flowing on my cassette
Rap & Sex imagine how I was flowing on my last cassette
Jaz-O and The Immobilarie album was nuts. A few bangers on there. Still bang that till this day. 🫡👌🏾✅
Solid interview, Great questions Math.✊🏾
Mannnn I’ve ALWAYS loved Jaz-O AND Jay-Z especially together. Hawaiian Sophie was a bop #Facts❣️❣️
You got to respect a man love a craft his passion
No he is understood all too well from being in the game he knows what labels do to stars and ppl who have similar styles and how things could potentially unfold. He was wise.
The bars on that sht was bananas. Jaz verse is incredible
I always wondered why Jaz verse on that cut through the mix different than the rest... one take with no soundcheck, raw talent
Jaz-O is so self-conscious "i didn't want them to think..."🤦♂
You can tell Jaz is being super careful with his wording 😮
He still saying hard hitting shit. " I feel rocafella was only to boost Jay-Z"😮. It's quotes like this in every clip so far. Bold statements for a rocnation employee.
That’s just how he speaks. It is kind of amazing tho how fast he can rhyme & how slowly (thoughtfully) he speaks
🎯
Probably because of the fact that he wasted damn near a decade on his diss campaign against Hov (diss records, street DVD's, interviews, etc.) only for them to eventually squash their beef and work together. I wonder if he ever looks back on all the wild shit he said about Hov and be like "Damn..."...
Nah, i think something medically has slowed him down. I saw Jaz in person over 10 years ago, physically, he has changed drastically.
Bleek never understanding how to rap white surrounded by greatness will forever amaze me.
Bleek can rap but he can't write great songs.
@@andremiller1566 Yup, if Jaz did his ghostwriting he would've blew.
@@sheltonalexander6785 That would've worked.
Wow! I gotta admit I'm surprised Jaz-O was as candid about Rocfella and JAY-Z as he was.
Timbaland originally use the beat for the R&b group playa for thier Cheers to you record. Both songs are classic.
Wtffffffff
Was Nigga What Nigga Who? the best song on Hard Knock Life??? So many great songs to choose!
Timbaland and Missy was one of the first to do triplet style production. These are Timbalands words about his production style. It was inevitable for them to do music together.
He got Jay on that one
Come on now. You outta pocket.
He got him on every one
Still my favorite song 🎵 from Jay-Z they both snapped on that track
Say what😮, knew his pen was nice, but that hook is crazy..😅
Jaz-O My Guy 💯. I met him at the faces in the crowd show in NY in 04.
Definitely put belt to that beat ✅
A Read Between The LiNes clip. 👀
Shout out to Jaz, he would come through and hoop at Eastern District
Nice seeing him with a Roc chain…
That lil music theory in there was nice!
I use to play ball with Jaz o in Kingston Park in Brooklyn 💯
That song is underated asf
Mecca lookin more like a double Dutch girl errr day with that hair
Math (camera guy)...you could have your GUESTS Upfront @ an angle in camera view, so we the viewers can get a more personal feel/affect while they're being interviewed ❤
...lol the fly guys taking their shine😂
I remember the Carter Faculty and Spit Records wow
That space in between is where the spirits dwell
Dope episode 🔥 🔥🔥
Runnin' rulin' wit rigor and vigor
Nobody bigger than me and my nigga Jigga
Math #1 hiphop podcasts 💪💯👍
Jigga what is on my Playlist...but that production style of Timberland he got from Memphis producer SMK.
One the greatest features of all time
Jaz O should of just rode out with Roc A Fella. He saying "roc a fella was made to promote jay z" nah cus sigel had success on the label and memphis bleek had radio hits. Big L was gonna have a good run on roc a fella. Dipset exploded on roc a fella and jay z was still have successful albums coming out during that whole movement as well.
Theres was room for jaz o on roc a fella for sure. All love and respect to jaz o. Just speaking as a fan. Not an artist.
Jaz o was heavy in the streets the real bk Don facts jay z wanted to always be like him big daddy kane 2 he was a fly dude I no I was there seen it live
Jay was the little homie, that's why and Bleek was the jiggaz baby lil
He's humble 2 never really glamorize or talked about the game but was official
I bet to this day Jaz treats Jay like “man if it wasn’t for me”
He got on the roc chain on
You can tell this dude is holding back truths choosing his worlds wisely
Exactly he’s very smart he holding the real truth to certain things he know if he slip he gets clipped
@@Iamedison facts bro. I see Jay taking advantage of dudes like that. He’s muzzling them now rather than later the ones he still can anyways. I see what hes doing. He let Dehaven go completely because it was too late already. Reeled in the rest.
And Kanye he can’t buy off Kanye. Dehaven was too preemptive. Otherwise that guy would be hush money already.
@@showbread9366 there's nothing to buy off...y'all are so delusional
@@Iamedison you want to believe that so bad lmfao
Salute my brother 🙏🏾 💯
I'm mad Math didn't ask him could he still recite his verse word for word
What kind of dumb question is that
@Lenasevilla-yb4ei the kind that would prompt a follow up question of "can u spit it for us rn" and if he did that would be great hearing again..
'SPIT YA FLOW .. GET YA DOUGH .. CANT PHUCK WIT MY GOOD SHIIIT THO' ..
A jaz-o presents album back then on rocafella would have been good.
Fly by night stop chirpn B 🔥🔥🔥
Jaz got dat Jamie Foxx/R Kelly merged profile goin on 💯
Jaz-O had this VERSE waiting in the chamber for decades.
when you watch early interviews and listen to albums, diss songs ,you really get the wrong impression about someone . I always thought that Jaz was more aggressive and hands on (indie business wise) but he comes across as almost nonchalant
Jaz O on Bring It On....might've have had the best verse between him Sauce and Jay, imo.
He went hard !! But it's a tough call
Thug thought he was og Bobby Johnson then I played him like Benny Blanco
The Originator none Greater !!!
He got a gold album
Gotta do an update with da ranjahz.haas the ripper.
Tuff 🔥▶️✔️
I feel like his ego got in the way. His lil mans became the big dog and he didn’t wanna go under the wing
I think I found inspiration
He killed that 1
Both verses were Fieeeee
Its hard to believe this was 25 yrs ago
I don't know about the rest of you, but I miss seeing the rappers wearing long,"pause"necklace(s).
When a man says he has to eat and says he’ll do this that and the other that translates selling coke
I like. Trap rapper turn podcast host. Better
That gun shot on the scared the shit out of me, Flipping through Texas just put one out🫵🏾🫡
I like Big Jaz beats for M.O.P. & Ras Kass. Very underrated MC/Producer.
"Thee o-rig-on-a-tor" Jay was on 9 but Jaz was on 10.
The new intro is all the way in the way..
😂
here we go again!
Why did the name change from My expert opinion to Math Hoffa?
Math nobody sees you as the greatest fam 😂
Nobody really says this but Timbaland lowkey accidentally invented DRILL Beats with "Jigga what Jigga who", you hear how futuristic that beat sounded at the time but if you play it today, it sounds like a Drill Joint without that full drop bass, but Tim was on to something with that 👀
