It is not DarkPsy, neither Dark Goa or Horror Trance! It is Psychedelic Trance! The music called Psychedelic Trance, and because a lot of tracks start to play in the Goa beach it was called Goa Trance! And the music industry used that to make money under the new genre goa trance! So simple!

The oposite my friend. It used to be called Goa and the industry, as u call, changed the name to psytrance in the late 90 early 00s with pop and comercial stuff which was famous under the name "psytrance"
But looking backwards, Goa was used in the early genre as a New experimental genre influenced by trance, techno and acid, It esse underground, melodic and orgânica beforr the mainstream and "industry" popularized It was "psy" putting many noises and non-melodic-souunds

Well if you wanna get 'em mixed up then yeah.. :) Listen to artists like Etnica, Pleiadians, Ominus, Shakta, Chakra, etc... Then listen to artists like Kindzadza, Penta, Para Halu, Wizard Lizard, etc...
Then tell me what the difference is ;-P
A good example of the difference between Goa and Psy would be artists like Tristan and Alien Project. Tristan has some Dark Goa Trance songs (Fetish) Alien Project has some Dark Psy-Trance songs (One Ring).. Psy-Trance stems from Goa Trance anyways.
