This is psytrance that has some Classic Goa Trance elements in it. Cosmosis did release some very good Classic Goa Trance back in the 90's, but this is not Goa Trance. This was released in June of 2007. I have found a few releases of Classic Goa Trance in 2003-2004 but the Golden age of Classic Goa Trance was definitely in the 1990's with tracks starting in 1991, hitting it's peak from 1994-1998 and then slowly fading out by 2003. Of course there are a few tracks before 1991 and a few after 2003.

Start with the groups Etnica, Mystica and Asia 2001 with releases before the year 1998. Try the song by X-Dream "We create our own happiness. Most of the great Classic Goa Trance came out in the years 1995-1997. Branch out from there. This music is a part of the essence sound Of Classic Goa Trance. It's more melodic and has some heart and soul in it. Much of the genre does not have much depth or heart or soul so you have to search through it all and find the great sounds. A lot of Goa Trance is harsh as is psytrance, but there is a mystical side to early psychedelic dance music that is available to those who have the passion to find it. Best wishes.
