NASA astronaut Donald Pettit is set to launch aboard the Soyuz MS-26 spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS) as part of Expedition 72. This mission, scheduled for September 2024, marks Pettit's fourth journey into space, where he will serve as a flight engineer alongside Russian cosmonauts Alexey Ovchinin and Ivan Vagner. Pettit, a veteran of three previous spaceflights, has logged over 370 days in space and is known for his contributions to scientific research and technology demonstrations during his missions.
