  • This is a companion video for assembly of the Napoleon Prestige 500 BBQ/Grill. Super easy to assemble. Need 2 people to put the top onto the base.

    Thank you. The instructions were images only and no words. Without this video, it would have been much harder.

    Thank for this video. Mines did not include instructions. Even with the PDF from online, it would have been a struggle without this video!!

    Thank you! This outstanding video is exactly what I needed (esp since the video by the maker is virtually useless!) Your experience with such things is obvious, and your identification of those points that might confuse ppl - and their remedies - are so appreciated. Plus - nice camera work.

    Thanks for a great video and your work producing it! I really appreciated your help and this type of sharing is the best thing about RUclips. As others have mentioned, there were some extra screws included in the box.

    My grill came with 5 longer silver screws with a hex head and a Phillips screwdriver head, any idea what those are for? They came in a separate pack with the gas line/ wiring harness plastic holder. Can’t see where the directions ever call for them.

    • @robsgaragewoodworkin

      Sounds like they grabbed an extra pack from another product. Maybe they’ll come in handy one day 😂

    15.38 I've built a dozen of these units and only one of them had those types of screws for the sides. The rest, flat-point screws. It would be nice to have these screws for future units.

    • @mikemondelli741
      @mikemondelli741 2 месяца назад

      How are you getting the flat point screws in? I don’t have self tapping either and can’t get the remaining screws in for the sizzle zone shelf.

    • @JohnDoe-li8fp
      @JohnDoe-li8fp 2 месяца назад

      @@mikemondelli741 So I suffered from a slight bone-head moment. One of the side burners had screws that were taped to the very bottom that appear to be the screws that are self-tapping. Otherwise, I had to use an impact driver to get the flat ones in. It's a bit confusing considering nothing in the literature explains where to find the correct screws. I still don't understand why the flat ones are given in the first place. I could be missing a step, but the directions on the assembly of these grills are lackluster at best.

    What screws did you use to attach the burner to the grill? The silver ones dont seem to fit?

      I have the same issue...Screws seem to be too big. Did you resolve this? Also, the holes don't seem to have threads to even screw them in. If you had to purchase new screws, what did you use?

      @MrMolsons 12 дней назад

      @@daveschenone7355 I figured it out. You have to mess around with the screws to find the right fit. The one they tell you to use in the manual are not the right ones.

    My Prestige 500 came assembled and while moving it a year later, the right side door fell off. When I reinserted it, the pegs fit but it was much lower. The door does not close evenly even with the spacer and holes on the bottom. Almost like it needs a water to raise it up. Adjusting the nut was of little help.

    • @robsgaragewoodworkin
      @robsgaragewoodworkin  Месяц назад

      There is a washer spacer that the door sits in. Is it possible that is missing?

    • @chukcanuk
      @chukcanuk Месяц назад

      If you are referring to to the black washer spacer sitting in the bottom hole , no, it is there. To my eye the parts are the same on either side. The only thing that occurs to me is that I did not reassemble on a completely flat surface. Our patio stones are uneven. An since we are about to do a Reno on the patio and my garage has no working space, I won’t know for a while. I’m going to take photos and go to the local retailer who assembled it.

    • @chukcanuk
      @chukcanuk Месяц назад

      @@robsgaragewoodworkin I think I have to reinstall the door on a level surface. That is what the dealer recommended. As I was moseying about the dealer I saw one with assembled with a similar issue. Glad to know I am not only one. The BBQ works fine though.

      @@robsgaragewoodworkin time passed and after putting the bbq in my garage (on a flat concrete floor) during the patio installation, the doors leveled themselves and now open properly.
