I live in Portland. Usually I’m a total homebody, but if you three lovelies are ever in town again I’d make an exception. It would be fun to meet people I can actually relate to.
I was just at Mill End and Pendleton a few weeks ago. Thankfully I did have list but forgot one item that means I have to go back soon. I splurged at Pendleton but with plans. I think my mother got the same plaid as you, I got some different diffused plaids that will become dresses 😊. Having grown up in Portland, just about an hour south now, I thoroughly enjoyed all the sights I recognize and have been. ❤
Oooo I am from Portland! Thanks for the recommendations! I have been wanting to learn to sew my own clothing because I love vintage, have such specific visions, and am too curvy for true vintage. Lol
I really miss going to Mill Ends since I moved back to Cali. Loved the years I spent in the Portland area. The last Pendleton plaid you showed is a colorway they have been using for decades. It was popular in the 90's. I had a suit made from it. It was lined with pink poly silk. My niece currently has it and wears it to work. Needless to say, I love it!
I'm envious of your Portland trip. I have to wait until I get my disability payout to go there. Someone told me that the main mill in Pendleton is still in operation and has a museum and store. I will have to look into that. The biggest barrier is climbing the hill with my walker from the bustop. Too steep for a wheelchair. I love wool and like the check plaid. The black wool is so drool worthy. Will you line your pants and skirts?
Very jealous of your wool haul! I also would like to make some wool skirts for winter but I always put it off because I’m in New England and I need some really warm tights or leggings to go with them and haven’t found any I like. Do you have a favorite source for warm winter tights?
What will you do with the old wool skirts that no longer fit? Sell them? Sorry if you’d answers this in another video I’m am trying to catch up on all your video but am a few weeks off.

I had such a great time with you! I wish I could've stayed longer.
Me too!
Those Pendleton plaids are fantastic ❤

I'll line my pants but for skirts I'll likely stick to slips instead of lining
I am just across the river in Vancouver, would love to meet up one day and follow along and pick up sewing supplies too.
Happy Halloween 🐈⬛🧙♀️😊.
Your shirt looks like a style from Samantha Pleet. They had a blue and white Portuguese tile inspired print during spring-summer this year.

I do not, in the pacific northwest it doesn't really get that cold so I can usually skip tights
I miss Mill End. They have closed all of them where I live. I dont think those are Violets on that fabric. Pretty sure they are Pansies.

Yup I always sell the clothes I get rid of!
