Just played through shadow dancer completely in the Sega Genesis Steam collection today. So I still think it's better than the arcade, but I found the variety wasn't enough as this was the first time I finished it, and I would have liked more weapons. I also didn't see the point of the different magic since they all took 2 points off the boss health. Good game, but shinobi 3 has tighter controls. I moved on to that one to play it through and have saved it at level 5 right now. Need a break lol.

I had a bootleg version of VF2 on the Mega Drive at one point (gave it to a friend eventually) and it wasn't great, very slow and actually a bit clunky.
