Hey sheldon, u mention, to spend more time in crypto and even career or work opportunities. can you do a video on the kind of work or career, job opportunities in crypto? and how to utilize different skills in crypto? thanks :)
Trojan horse. Thank you for everything, lad. The reason I like you is because you show care for your viewers or people that follow you. This is a rare “NFT” .
Sheldon Evans enjoy your straight forward without all the hype content. I have one question for you or anyone else that can answer it. I have a hearing handicap and was wondering why some RUclipsrs have the closed captions (CC) available and others do not. They help me a lot to hear what you're saying especially when accents are involved. Cheers hope you can help
Trojan Horse. Sheldon, I think you are missing a very important part here when it comes to Ubisoft or NFT in games in general. Yes, NFTs bring back ownership of assets back to the gamer. But there is absolutely no guarantee that there will be another game that is compatible with those items! In fact, when a successor of a game comes out which is not compatible, it might make the value (and the price) of all of NFTs of the predecessor plummet, because everyone would want the new items.
The whole point is that those developers will bring the old items into new games, and older lesser-produced items will hold more value than the new ones, new popular game will probably pump the price of the original collectable items from previous game that can be used in it. Look at genesis series nft vs 'v2' etc collections.
It's in the developers' best interest to make sure the older the NFTs the greater value they. Otherwise, no one will buy their new ones with an expectation of value dropping.
I believe gamers would like to start from scratch in a new game to be honest. Imagine your enemy having a powerful NFT weapon (or even a cool skin) from another game already at launch in your new game. Would suck out all the fun for new players. Moreover, sure, you pay the gaming company for items these days, but imagine a market where players can set the price on their own. Just leads to more pay-to-win imo... At the very least there needs to be a limit as to how expensive you can sell your items.
I absolutely agree. Theoretically, interoperability of items would have already been technically possible on platforms like Steam or Xbox Online. But it’s never been done because there’s no clear business model for developers. Why accept items from another game when you can sell those items again yourself? Many game publishers are already vehemently against second-hand games, I don’t see why they would accept this for digital items now. The only argument I see in the comments boils down to turning consumable IAPs into a speculative market, and I’m not sure that’s a good idea. The only domain where I see this concept maybe work is in meta verses that need to be compatible with each other, or possibly MMOGs that let users set up their own servers and are designed with decentralization in mind. Once you cut out the compatibility to competitors or the desire for decentralization, though, the value proposition becomes slim for developers. Even economy-driven MMOGs like Eve seem to work fine without NFTs.
Unfortunately live in NY so limited on coins to buy. Will start dollar cost averaging now. I think will drop some more because people pull out money for taxes but now is time to dollar cost average
Just passing by to say after being a long time viewer, that i love the video format you use, the split screen is just so good to keep the focus of what you are sayin! Trojan Horse inbound!
The problem the gaming industry will have with NFTs is that most gaming companies are now well established at wanting to wring every dollar out of their customers via micro-transactions etc. therefore gamers are (quite rightly) expecting that they'll use NFTs to screw money out of them. (and Sheldon I'm not sure that NFTs will completely work the way you say they will - an NFT for a gun will still only be an NFT for a gun in that game - there's no guarantee it will work in another game unless it's deliberately made compatible and the money (USD etc) will still end up in the pockets of the developers...).
Great videos as always but have you changed something on your mic? This video was much harder to hear than normal, i had to turn up the volume more than normal and still struggled a bit, quite low and bass-y
Because of the economic crisis and the rate of unemployment, now is the best time to invest and make money 💯, Christmas is now approaching and bitcoin with pump up $100k soon.
He doesn't know that. No one does. But he knows what is likely and what is less likely, there for making a calculated 'risk for the short term. Long term holders don't share the same level of risk
Hi Sheldon, thanks for the content again. i have been looking in the Kickstarter project indeed promising. Would you recommend to invest in CELO or KSR ?
metaverse got overhyped and most people came in too late.Bought sand at 60 cents sold at 7 bucks.I expect more downside.Get into areas that arent talked about yet.
Here’s a Trojan horse for ya. The reason that video you mentioned in the beginning isn’t because players don’t understand how crypto, or NFTs work. Most people who play triple A titles like the ones UBISOFT makes know all about crypto. What people in Crypto don’t get, or at least aren’t talking about is how pissed gamers are right now that they can’t buy a video card to play those awesome games, and they blame any and all things crypto related. So if we want gamers to love and embrace blockchain gaming or NFTs and the stuff we are all excited about, we need to find another way to mine crypto. The bottom line is gamers will reject anything blockchain until the stranglehold on their gaming rigs is released, for a gamer there is almost nothing worse than finally having enough money to upgrade your shit video card to an amazing one only to not be able to buy one because jerks on Amazon are selling entire lots of gaming card for $86,000!

Just look at how Gala Games are doing it.

LUNA🌕 Thanks Sheldon 👍🏻
Should never try to catch a dropping knife- that is the famous crypto term regarding predicting the bottom of the downturn during BTC run.
What about zoot token?
If you're worried, look at Bitcoin on a log scale. It's an exponential asset, so looking at it in nominal terms shouldn't be a make or break
